Melissa's POV
I woke up at 5:00 AM the day everyone was set to go home. I was beyond excited to both see Sev again and to finally see the place where he lived when he wasn't teaching.I had already said my goodbyes to Ginny and Hermione last night, so I could go straight to Sev this morning. I quickly got changed, grabbed my trunk that I had taken from Sev's chambers back to my dorm, and rushed to Minerva's office, as she said she would be there at 5:15 to let me in.
I ran in and saw Minerva sitting at her desk, smiling at me tiredly. She stood up at my entrance and walked over, opening her arms for a hug.
I obliged and wrapped my arms around her. "Take care, Melissa. Make sure to write, and hopefully, we can meet up sometime soon," Minerva said.
I smiled and nodded, and replied, "I will, I expect letters from you as well. We'll see each other soon, good luck with Felix."
"Thank you. Now go on, I'm sure Severus is waiting," she said, gesturing to the fireplace.
I grinned and grabbed a handful of floo powder, before walking in, my trunk dragging along behind me. I spoke clearly the place Sev wrote down in his letter, having memorized it, my body filling with excitement as I spun through the floo network.
I stumbled slightly once I arrived, but barely had a second to open my eyes before I felt a pair of lips kiss onto mine. I dropped my trunk and kissed back, my hands wrapping around his neck to pull him closer.
We eventually pulled apart, and I looked at Sev with a smirk on my face. "Missed me, huh?"
He chuckled and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear, before answering, "More than you know."
I smiled and then asked him, "Care to give me a tour?" He nodded and cast a charm on my trunk so it would follow us, before leading the way.
As we walked around, I wasn't surprised to find that it had a similar style to his chambers at Hogwarts. The floors were a dark walnut, while the walls were painted in old, faded tones. There wasn't much in the way of pictures or decorations, and there wasn't much furniture either.
But in a way, that made me happy. The fact that there wasn't much here meant that we could make it into what we wanted. We could make it into a home that we both liked, together.
The tour didn't take long, as it was a small house. On the first floor, there was a kitchen with not much cookware and had a dining table, and a decently sized sitting room that had a fireplace and had walls covered with bookshelves. There was also a small bathroom attached to the sitting room that was clean, but nearly empty. Above the bathroom there was a staircase leading to the second floor.
The second floor had a smaller hallway with a railing beside it, looking over the stairs. There were 3 doors, one leading to the master bedroom, one to a bigger bathroom than downstairs, and one to a second bedroom. As we ended the tour in the second bedroom, I looked at him quizzically.
