As I quickly walked to the boys' bathroom, I tried my best not to think. I couldn't think about what Isa's bleeding could mean, I just needed to heal Miss Granger and get back to Isa.
When I walked inside the bathroom and saw Miss Granger on the floor, I felt a wave of pain and regret hit me. I should never have created that spell, this never would have happened if it weren't for me.
I immediately rushed to her side, seeing tears of pain streaking her face. She was gripping Draco's hand tightly, whilst Draco stroked the hair out of her face, with tears falling down his cheeks. I looked for where the spell hit her and paled once I saw.
I had to remove her clothes from the spot in order to heal it, or else the fabric could get stuck in the wound. That normally wouldn't bother me, except for the fact that what I had to heal was-
"What the hell are you waiting for, godfather?! She's going to bleed to death if you don't heal her!" Draco yelled at me.
I looked at him and said, "Draco, I need to remove her clothes to heal her, and-"
"So?" Draco asked, getting angry at me.
"I'm not supposed to be looking anywhere near there, Draco! It's completely inappropriate!"
Draco looked at me incredulously. "Do you really think she cares about that? I think she cares more about surviving than protecting her modesty from you!" he answered. I looked at Miss Granger for her input, but she was in too much pain to have a care about what we were discussing.
I finally sighed and nodded, before starting to pull down her skirt gently. She cried out and bit her lip in pain, and I paused for a moment, waiting until some of the pain subsided. Once the skirt was pulled down enough, I moved on to her knickers, pulling them down, but not looking at what was underneath them.
As a last thought, I summoned a small cloth to cover her modesty while I worked. "Vulnera Sanentur" I muttered repeatedly, watching the blood clear away and the wounds knit back together.
I saw the look of pain across Miss Grangers face start to fade, and once she opened her eyes, I had finished the spell. I stood up and turned around, so she had the chance to put her clothes back on, and waited for her and Draco to get up so I could leave.
I whipped around when I heard Miss Granger give out a cry of pain. Draco looked at me worriedly and asked, "Why is she still in pain?"
I shook my head and responded, "I don't know, I expected it all to have healed. Everything healed on the outside, my only guess would be that something didn't heal on the inside. I suggest you two go and see Madam Pomfrey. However, right now I really need to leave, I'll see you both tomorrow."
And with that, I turned on my heel and hurried off to St. Mungos, fearing what I would hear.
Melissa's POV
As Remus carried me out of the castle, I tried to avoid thinking, but I ended up doing the exact opposite. I couldn't stop thinking. Worries and worst-case scenarios ran through my head, and I blinked back tears.
Bleeding was definitely not a good sign. I knew it could mean a number of things, but I couldn't help but think the worst. It wasn't secret that bleeding while pregnant is a common sign of miscarriage or stillbirth, and I was terrified that this might be what it was.
