Autumn POV:
A small head popped out of the water and I quickly took a step back. It was dark but the light of the moon was just enough to show her in the distance.
A mermaid? This is the first test?
I pointed the dagger in her direction. 'Show yourself', I said to the unknown danger.
And she did.
She swam closer to me. I could now see her very well. She was beautiful.
Her skin looked like it was made out of pearls. Small lips with a cherry color that looked like they were just made for her. And the most beautiful, yet so dangerous eyes. They were luring me towards her. I stepped closer and looked into her eyes. They had a dark blue color like the depths of the sea.
It looked like she was the embodiment of the sea with her hair just floating around her. It was as if time stood still when I looked into her eyes and she silently gazed back at me, forming a small smile at her perfect lips. 'Come here stranger', the Siren said with a voice like an angel.
Her words echoed trough the night and ended up in my ears.
I hesitated for a second but I eventually stepped closer. 'Just one more step stranger, you're almost there', the mermaid with the beautiful eyes said. I wanted to. I wanted to get closer to her but I realised I was already standing in the water with my dagger lowered.
She is tricking me, isn't she?
'No', I said with a stern voice. 'You can't trick a trickster sweetheart, sorry', I said and turned around.
Author POV:
The Siren was confused for a second, but then chuckled in amusement. 'What is your name', she asked the girl that had caught her attention.
'Autumn', the girl said without turning back around.
'Well Autumn, you are the first one that can resist temptation', the mermaid said with a smile on her face, while swimming a bit closer to her.
Autumn turned back around and saw the Siren now closer to her, a playfull look in her eyes and a small smirk on her face.
'Well I guess I have to ask you your name since you asked mine.'
'I am named after a valley, but you can always call me Nimea', she said winking at the tall girl infront of her.
Nimea held out her hand for Autumn to shake it.
The brown haired girl saw this but did not accept the hand and just chuckled. 'I'm sorry sweety but I am still not falling for this', she said turning around , ready to walk away and letting her smile fade.
