Prologue

Family gatherings have always been part of your family traditions. It was a fun tradition, mainly because you get to eat a lot of food and meet your relatives. But that wasn't all of it, you get to hang out with your cousins too and commit shenanigans that always got the elders shaking their heads in sheer disappointment or amusement, there was no in between. But you couldn't care less because your cousins were cool and they always came up with the dumbest shit or the most amusing thing ever.

Like right now, for example.

"Why are y'all throwing me to the pool again?" One of your cousins cried, but it was evident in his silly expression that he was enjoying this.

"You didn't manage to chug 2 bottles of vodka in 5 minutes." The eldest answered, she was slurring a little but she knew what she was talking about.

"Oh right, hehe." The latter one chuckled and closed his eyes, preparing to meet his fate.

"1! 2!" Off he went, straight to the 7-foot-deep pool. All of you burst out laughing but were still on the lookout in case he didn't manage to swim back to the side of the pool. He consumed a bottle of vodka after all. Thankfully, he wasn't that intoxicated yet, he still made it to the side of the pool. So you all went back to the grass and sat on your respective seats.

"Y/N's next!" One of your cousins chimed, evidently excited. You could've sworn you saw him smirked devilishly. You could already feel the aura of mischief coming from him.

"Now, choose." Your cousin who just got out of the pool snorted while drying himself using a towel.

Oh that was right, you were playing truth or dare.

"Truth." You confidently answered, puffing up your chest with a smug smile.

"BOO!" They all collectively bellowed, eyeing you with disgust. You couldn't help but to burst out laughing, clutching your stomach.

"You can choose anything but truth." One of them said, she was quite wasted at this point but she was still into the game.

"What's the point of the choices then when I can only choose dare?!" You shrieked, rolling your eyes at them.

"Well that's because we rarely see you, you only appear during family gatherings. Seriously, are you that busy? You're getting married or something?" The eldest wiggled her brows, giving you a knowing look and that started the chaos.

"OOOOOHHHH Y/N'S GETTING MARRIED~" They all sang and flashed you a teasing grin.

"Wait if she is, how come we didn't know it?" One of the rational ones said.

"Finally! Someone here at least has a functioning brain!" You said in relief while giving all of your cousins a dirty look.

"Oh that's right, I remember she's been single since she graduated college. Aww must be hard huh?" One of them mocked you, obviously trying to rile you up. What followed that were the dramatic gasps from your cousins. They even went to the extent of either covering their mouths or clutching their chest for extra flare.

"What about it?" You stubbornly grunted, you really didn't want to go to this topic. So you avoided their gazes, looking up the dark sky and counting the stars to divert your attention.

"What's worse is she's the only one who's single among us... poor little thing." They added and you rolled your eyes so hard you thought they would ascend to the heavens and leave you blinded for good.

"Oh I know, let's make her date someone." You instantly glared at the one who said that and you were about to open your mouth to stop any evil plans from being established but you were too late.
