Nineteen

It was probably because you were too preoccupied with work that you didn't notice the gossip going around that involved your existence. Not until today at least. You were taking a break since the cafe wasn't that busy, sitting on one of tables near the entrance. You decided to take out your phone and check out what occured while you were away from social media. Now, you weren't the type to be on social media always because you have more important things to tend to. So the sheer shock and horror that struck you was immense when you came across an article written to talk about Suna and his 'speculated girlfriend.'

Which was you.

Panic-stricken, you viewed the article and read every word carefully. It wasn't anything scandalous but there were pictures of you and him from the banquet. Upon reading it, you came to a realization that it wasn't anything that could harm Suna's reputation. The article merely stated that you were the speculated girlfriend. Your name wasn't stated but your face was clear in the pictures.

You took a deep breath as you checked the date; it was published one week ago. You exited the site and placed your phone on the table, clutching your temple in worry and frustration. You were aware that this much could happen when you went with Suna as his plus one but you still couldn't stop your heart from jumping in nervousness. The article had many engagements and you were sure the majority of his fans already knew this. It all happened last week, of course everyone should be aware of it.

Including Suna.

You grind your teeth as you reach for your phone once again. With clouded judgment, your fingers hovered over his contact information. You were about to call him and tell him how frustrated and bothered you were feeling because he didn't tell you, but you decided against it in the end. If you let your anger get the best of you right now, you might just end up going off in the middle of the call. There were many things you wanted to tell and ask him but you were too upset to do anything.

You gripped your phone harshly then counted one to ten, taking deep breaths to keep yourself grounded. Moments later, you significantly calmed down. You pocketed your phone and covered your face. You heaved a heavy sigh as you analyzed your thoughts and emotions.

No one came to the shop to harass you or ask you about your relationship with Suna. Which means no one knew who you were and your connections yet. Or it could simply because no one bothered to know. Which was quite fortunate but you were certain that sooner or later some people would find you. But right now you were feeling more upset than worried. If Suna really had known this, why didn't he tell you? Simply because he didn't feel the need to? He knew how anxious you were about things like this yet he disregarded that?

"No, I don't know yet." You firmly told yourself to stop yourself from jumping into conclusions. It would be better to talk about this with Suna personally. Right now, you should focus on your work and your vlog.

With a tired sigh, you stood up and went back to the counter.

5:00 pm, you were finally free from work. Your mother permitted you to end your shift early to edit videos so from now on you could always go home before dark. Despite working nonstop throughout the entire noon, you found yourself still feeling frustrated and upset. The fact that your cousins even started mentioning the articles about the scoop with Suna didn't help you. You were mad that your cousins were the first ones to tell you this instead of Suna who you were directly involved with in the article.

So when you saw Suna outside your cafe, waiting for you, your mind buffered. You momentarily remembered that you told him your new schedule before it got buried in the back of your head. You clutched your fists when he smiled and waved at you as if nothing was going on. You wavered a little, almost not having the heart to be mad at him but you stood firm.
