You blinked profusely as you processed his words one by one as if he said them in an alien language that you couldn't quite comprehend. Your brain short circuited as you repeated his sentiment in your head like a broken record. Everything seemed to halt its movements as you attempted to wrap your head around his spontaneous confession. Were you hearing that right or were you going crazy and imagining things? Your racing heartbeat stilled as you felt his hand softly squeezing yours, it almost felt like he was anxious and afraid of how you would respond. With that, you realized that you weren't imagining this, he definitely just confessed and asked you out- all while cuddling with you.

You mentally cackled at that, for some reason you thought that was the most Suna thing he had ever done in a while.

"Are you sure about that?" You asked, accompanied with a gentle fit of laughter- not meant to mock nor invalidate his emotions. "I mean, shouldn't you be asking me first why I asked for a little more time back then?" You added to clarify your intention behind your words.

Suna hummed, his vibrations running through the flesh on the crook of your neck, making you shiver and become highly aware just how little the distance between you two were: almost nonexistent. He sluggishly let go of your hand, now tracing the outline of your waist until it rested right beside your hips. You took a deep breath at that, feeling a little bothered by how warm his touch felt.

"I wanted to ask you that before I came here but then, I figured out that you asked for a little more time because you want to purge the shackles that's keeping you binded to the past. But now that you ended everything and started a new chapter, I thought it would be a good time to ask you out." Suna explained in a simple manner, direct and concise. His voice was alarmingly soft and tender. He then propped himself up into a sitting position and you followed suit.

This time, Suna was able to look you in the eye and show how sincere he was. His soft eyes, lovesick smile, and the lovely expression on his face- it was evident just how deep his feelings were running. If you were to expound on it, the way his eyes held you captive as he dove into the deepest abyss of your soul... he was ready to get himself lost in you and accept your everything. He wanted to be a part of your routine: your life. He wanted to be a part of you, in a good way without the interdependency. Rather he simply wanted to grow with you and live life together.

It was sweet, really.

"But if I were to answer your first question: am I sure?" He raised a brow at you, a cocky yet amusing expression painted across his face as he slowly drew your right hand close to his mouth. His expression then softened, closing his eyes as he kissed your knuckles lovingly. An overwhelming sense of acceptance and fondness then flooded your system. You felt so loved and adored.

Suna opened his eyes slowly when he gingerly pulled away, locking his gaze at you. "Y/N, I've liked you even back in high school. I have never been so sure in my entire life." He firmly confessed, his words materializing into a warm feeling that sweetly engulfed your entirety in a loving hug. It felt so nice to hear that from him.

And although you already had an assumption that he liked you before because he slipped with his words several times then, you were still floored to learn that he liked you back in high school. Looking back to it now, it must've been hard on him because aside from Atsumu, he had always been one of the people you always ask advice from whenever you and Osamu had a misunderstanding. Plus, he always teased you to the point you found him so annoying so hearing this was kinda bizarre for you.

"Wait a minute, you liked me back in high school? When all you did was to tease me, even almost had a horse eat my entire hair, and sent me to the guidance office a bunch of times?!" You screeched in disbelief as you eyed him with shocked eyes. It was definitely hard for you to believe him if you put it like that.
