The sun gently peeked through the cracks of the blinds, in the room. The dim lights created a rather cozy atmosphere. It was quite cold but the occupants didn't seem to mind it for they were basking in each other's warmth. There was a lingering sweet scent in the air that made the atmosphere quite tender. The clock on the bedside table displayed the time: 6:02 am. Usually an alarm would be ringing in the four corners of the room by now, but today seemed different.
Suna, who was used to waking up at this hour, felt warm as his consciousness slowly awakened, not only his body but his heart was swelling with warmth as well. The moment he inhaled your scent, a smile cascaded his sleepy features. He securely held you in his arms and pulled you close, resting his chin on the crown of your head. He took in your sweet scent once again before breathing in relief, his system singing in utter joy. Truly, he felt like he was holding the world in his arms.
By now he would usually get off of the bed to head to work, but not today. He focused on waking you up. "Good morning." His sleepy voice buzzed, deep and raspy in tone. His eyes were still glued with drowsiness, but that didn't stop him from planting a soft kiss on your temple.
With that, you hummed and stretched your body a little as you awakened from your sleep. You blinked slowly and stopped, smiling when you felt a familiar pair of arms holding you tightly. You faced Suna and kissed his nose lightly, giggling in elation as you basked in his comforting presence. "Good morning." You lightly let out.
Suna hummed in acknowledgement, still having his eyes closed. He caressed your waist tenderly, feeling your skin under his palm. He chuckled before opening his eyes, his yellow-grayish hues resting upon yours, almost taking your breath away. Both of your hearts fluttered in a symphony that seemed to only exist in your minds. A warm, fuzzy air towered the atmosphere but it wasn't suffocating. Rather, it was lovely and pleasant, amplifying the unspoken feelings lingering in your hearts.
It really did seem like your feelings for each other were running deeper, securing their roots and grasping you both to the point of being held captive eternally. Well, it wasn't like you both minded. If anything, you both fancied it. It was quite thrilling how such simple looks from each other could make your hearts sing in joy.
"Why are you still so fine even in the morning?" You couldn't help but to ask with a teasing chuckle as you pecked his lips.
Suna was a little taken aback by your sentiment but he mirrored the lovely smile resting upon your features, his ears burning a little as his heart skipped a beat. "Don't you think it's too early for you to make me smile like this?" He chortled, a little bashful. He really didn't expect your sudden compliment so his morning brain was having a hard time responding to you properly. Plus, it wasn't everyday he would get a compliment the moment he opened his eyes in the morning.
But he wouldn't say he didn't like it.
"It's never too early to make you smile." You wiggled your brows playfully and you both laughed at that.
Suna huffed a breath before suddenly pulling you a lot closer, if that was even possible. He buried your face on his chest and planted a tender kiss on top of your head. He hummed gently, his fingers forming circles on your back. He stopped for a moment to check himself. He basked in the feeling of his heart literally doing somersaults in his chest. The warmth spread throughout his body. The wonderful atmosphere surrounding you both. The tender emotions reigning your souls. He took a deep breath, a realization hitting him.
"You know, you're everything I could ever ask for."
Your heart skipped a beat upon hearing that, your sleep coated system suddenly fully awakened and kicked back to life. You clutched his shirt tightly as you heaved a deep breath. You were delighted to hear that, truly. But there was this little feeling of doubt in your chest that suddenly resurfaced. Biting your lower lip, you asked, "Don't you think it's too early for you to say that?"
