AN: i'm sorry that it's skipped quite a bit, lmao. but i couldn't have first year go on forever. <3

*Back in school, second year of Hogwarts.*

Adeline set down to the courtyard. Hoping to meet Susan and Hannah there.

Adeline's book falls out of her bag.

She turns around to pick it up, but someone else had obviously taken this opportunity to tease her.

"What do we have here?" Said Draco.

"Give it back!" Said Adeline, reaching up for the book.

"Quidditch Through The Ages." Draco mutters. "You're seriously not hoping to become a quidditch player, are you?" Draco laughed.

Adeline wasn't, as her flying classes didn't go too well last year..

"Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. Now give my book back." She told him, folding her arms.

"Why can't I keep it?" He said with a smirk. "I just want to read." Draco was annoying Adeline now.

"Give it back, you idiot!" Adeline shouted.

"No. You'd be a rubbish quidditch player anyway." Draco said frowning.

"Give it back." Adeline shouted, getting angry. "Come on, Malfoy. I want to go meet my friends."

"Who? Longbottom? Pathetic he is, isn't he." Draco says.

Adeline got so offended, how dare he insult Neville!

Adeline slapped him, right there and then.

"Ohr!" Groaned Draco, dropping the book.

Adeline grabbed the book and ran off.

She knew she shouldn't have done that, but Hogwarts isn't like muggle school.. She wouldn't get in trouble for hitting someone, right? Surely it would be absurd to punish her, she had a reason after all?

Adeline met Hannah and Susan in the courtyard.

"Hi!" Adeline said.

"Hello, Ad" Hannah replied.

Susan smiled.

"Would they punish you, if you hit someone?" Adeline asked, shifting her feet across the concrete ground.

"No, I don't think so at least." Susan replied. "Blaise Zabini slapped someone last year, all he got was a telling off."

"Ok. Good." Adeline muttered, tucking her hair behind her ears.

"Why, did you hit someone?" Hannah asked.

"Yes. Malfoy" said Adeline, embarrassed.

Susan and Hannah started laughing. "You know, normally people would say 'control your magic' in the wizarding world, but YOU need to control your temper" Teased Hannah.
