"Miss Parkinson?" McGonagall called.

Adeline paused in her tracks. "Yes?"

"My office please."

Adeline looked at Ginny. "Well- I hope I'm not in trouble, I'll see you later?"

Ginny nodded. "Good luck."

Adeline walked into McGonagall's office. "Hello."

"Please sit down."

Adeline nodded, and sat down.

There was a silence for a short while.

"So, Pansy Parkinson's told me you have a desire to become an auror."

"Yes, that's true. I really do hope that some day I'll be one."

McGonagall nodded. "I know a fair few aurors.. And like you, they worked hard to get it."

Adeline smiled. "I think I'll need a better grade in Defence Against the Dark Arts. I'm only just getting Outstanding's..."

"Still getting them!" McGonagall's lips curved into a smile. "I'd highly like to encourage you in this decision, knowing what a good auror you'd be."

Adeline looked up, exited.

"I've got an Auror that I think you'd have an interest in meeting, to help you along your journey. You need to train.. So having an experience would highly help."

"Thank you so much, professor!" Adeline grinned.

McGonagall nodded and opened her office door.

"Adeline, this is Nymphadora Tonks, an Auror."

Adeline looked up at her. "Wow, hello! I've heard about you."

Nymphadora frowned. "How come?"

Adeline realised how stupid she sounded.

"Oh, um. Well, my boyfriend Draco's mother, Narcissa, told me about you. Told me you were an Auror."

Nymphadora nodded and bit her lip. "Alright, well I'll talk you through everything about being an Auror."

An hour of long discussion. Boring, perhaps in some eyes.. But to Adeline. This was a start to her journey.

"Thank you." Adeline shook Nymphadora's hand. "Do you know when I can start training?"

"Well.. You'll need a spot to train for the job. And I can't guarantee you a job.. As a lot of people want to be Aurors. It's a tricky job to get, but I think you've got potential."

"Thank you so much!" Adeline gushed. "Really, you've helped me a lot."

"Glad to know." Nymphadora smiled. "I'll let Robards, the head of department, know that they have a new application.. Obviously as soon as you've finished Hogwarts."

"Thanks. I've said that a lot, haven't I?" Adeline flustered. "Oh, and thank you Professor McGonagall."

McGonagall looked up from her paper and squinted. "It's alright. I'd like to know at least one of my students succeed in a successful job."

Adeline laughed.

"I have to go." Nymphadora coughed. "Erm, I have to get home to Teddy."

"Ok- Bye!" Adeline called after her.

"So you're really going to become an Auror?"

"Hopefully, yes."
