"How was your test with Umbridge?" Pansy asked.

"Good.." Adeline said. She dragged her feet along the concrete.

Pansy frowned. "What's wrong?"

"Susan and Hannah started rumours about me." Adeline explained.

Pansy rolled her eyes. "Forget about them, I heard the rumours too. No one in their right mind would believe them."

"I suppose, at least my actual family believes me."

"Along with the majority of the school." Pansy picks at her nails. "None of the Slytherins are talking about it."

"Yeah, it's probably just Hufflepuff." Adeline explained. "It's a shame, we were good friends."

"Anyone who treats you like that, just because of your family, isn't worth having as a friend." Pansy grabs her hand. "Anyway! What's happening with you and Draco?"

"Nothing.." Adeline frowns. "Why? what have you heard?"

"Blaise told me that you're dating Draco." Pansy smiles.

"What? Who started that rumour? We're NOT dating." Adeline stressed.

"I don't know." Pansy said. "At least you know it's not true."

"Yeah." Adeline sighed. "Have you and Theo made up?"

Pansy's hand flew to her mouth. "More than that! We're dating."

Adeline made a shocked face. "Why didn't you tell me BEFORE??"

"I forgot!" Pansy smiled. "I've got the best guy in the school."

"You were drooling over Draco last year." Adeline frowned.

"Yeah but Theo got so good looking this year!"

Adeline rolled her eyes. "Alright, I'm going now."

"Where?"

"Library, we've got our OWLS coming up."

Adeline walked off.

"Hey, Adeline!" Called Draco.

He jumped down from the tree.

"Hi, Draco." Adeline smiled.

"Where're you off to?"

"You always ask. The Library."

"Okay. Why are you always at the Library."

"In case you hadn't noticed, we're doing our OWLS this year, I really don't want to fail them."

"That's a good point. Can I come study with you?" Draco smiles.

"Uh, sure. I don't see why not."

"Cool, I'm just going to grab some parchment and a quill, I'll see you there!" Draco called, making his way into the castle.

Adeline decided to get a head start and go straight to the Library.

***

Draco sat down next to Adeline.

"Hellooo!"

Draco rested his face on his hand and looked Adeline's direction.

"Hi." Adeline smiled.

She started to take notes from the book pages.

"If you're so inclined to get good grades, what do you want to work as?" Draco asked.

"Well, I don't know yet." Adeline thought. "Being an Auror sounds kind of cool!"

"Yeah. I could see you working as a dishwasher in the Leaky Cauldron" He joked.

Adeline rolled her eyes.

"Thanks, means a lot!" She laughed.

Adeline noticed Draco wasn't doing any studying, just looking at her.

"Careful, Draco. You're going to start drooling."

Draco blinked and turned away to grab a book.

Half an hour later, Adeline was just about to leave.

"Draco you started that book half an hour ago and haven't made any notes or turned a page."

"Yeah I memorised everything in my head."

"From the whole book? Not leaving the first page?" Adeline laughed.

"Um, nevermind." Draco scratched his head.

"Well. I'm going to bed now. It's getting late." Adeline smiled.

"Oh. I wanted you to have this." Draco said, pulling something out of his pocket.

"It's a bracelet. With a moon crescent on." Draco blushed. "You said you loved the moon."

Adeline felt her cheeks flush. "Awh! Thank you, Draco I love it!"

Draco passed her the bracelet, Adeline unhooked the back and slipped it on her wrist, admiring the sparkling moon crescent. It was beautiful.

"Thank you so much." Adeline gave him an awkward hug.

"Er, it's alright." Draco scratched his arm. "Night, Ad."

Adeline smiled back at him and walked back to the Gryffindor common room.

***

Adeline sat by the fire next to Ginny.

"I like your bracelet!" Ginny smiles.

Adeline jumps. "Oh! Thank you."

"Where did you get it?"

"It was a gift, actually. So I'm not sure."

"Oh okay. It's really pretty"

Adeline didn't want to say it was from Draco, why would she want to start rumours?

Up in the dormitories, Adeline was folding her uniform.

Lavender came in.

"Hi Lavender." Adeline says.

She was about to get into bed before she remembered about the rumours.

"Um, Lavender?"

"Yesss?"

"Why did you tell everyone that Draco and I went to Hogsmeade?"

Lavender shrugged. "Just overheard, and then told some people."

"But you didn't need to tell anyone, I don't want to be the talk of the school."

"Yeah it doesn't matter though." Lavender took her cloak off. "You're a Gryffindor, he's a Slytherin."

"What does my house have to do with anything?"

"I mean.. You're a Parkinson, and you're in Gryffindor. Doesn't that bother you? Are you sure you're a Parkinson.."

Adeline bit her lip. "..Yes. I am. And I'm sure of it."

Lavender took her hair out of a plait. "If you're sure."

"Can you not.. Spread information about my relationships around school. I don't want to be the centre of attention."

Lavender rolled her eyes. "Relax, there's nothing wrong with a bit of gossip."

Adeline shook her head and went to sleep.
