There was still battles going on, people were shouting and screaming after the loud sparks the wands were making.

A duel was occurring. Sparks flying everywhere. Bricks crumbling from the walls and ceilings.

The wall behind Adeline collapsed, Adeline ran away, hoping to make an escape.

"Addy!" Pansy ducked down next to her.

"Pansy! I thought you were locked up in the dungeons with all the other Slytherins?"

"We escaped, well- Draco let us out."

Adeline was happy that Pansy was free, but this meant she was in danger of dying, so she just nodded.

"Where's Draco?" Adeline asked.

"Dunno. He was with Blaise last time I checked. Goyle died."

"Oh my gosh! How?"

"Fell in a fire in the room of requirement."

"Oh wow- That's bad."

Pansy laughed. "You don't sound very serious."

"Oh um, no. Just overwhelmed by the whole battle."

Pansy nodded. "Not alone. I hate how so many have died."

"You're still on the team. That's killing people, though."

"I- I know. I'm sorry."

"It's not me you have to apologise to. I haven't been killed."

Pansy nodded and held back tears. "I don't want to be on that side. It's only because of mother and father.."

"Then why are you? I told you before. I'm not, you don't need to be. They're not holding me against it!"

"I know. It's just I'm so worried about living up to their expectations."

"Well how do you know what their expectations are? They could be testing us." Adeline winked.

Pansy giggled. "Then you can get on with being an Auror, lazy arse."

Adeline gasped, sarcastically. " 'Scuse me! I'm still in school!"

"Joking! Come on! Let's defend Hogwarts."

"Abso-bloody-lutely!"

"Hey! Adeli- Cubby!" Draco grabbed her arm. "I need to put you on a lead!"

Adeline smiled. "What's up..?"

Draco's eyes shot to a corner, he pulled Adeline to the side. Stopping the explosion from hitting her.

Adeline gasped. "Oh my- Thanks. I could've been hit.."

Draco smiled, he scratched his head. "Err.. Well, my mum obviously likes you.. As she's just showed me a cottage last night.. I told her about our dream. She said she'd pay for it, she said she wanted me to be happy."

Adeline covered her mouth. "Oh, Draco! I couldn't.."

"Yes, you could. On my behalf. I insist."

Adeline bit her lip. "Yes. We will."

Draco pulled her in for a long hug, and shortly let her go.

"I've got to go. I need to see Blaise for.. Err.. Something."

"Right! Okay- well tell your mother I said thank you, and say hi to Blaise from m-"

The spell happened quicker than she could finish her sentence. The green sparks flew out of Bellatrix Lestrange's wand. Her screechy voice yelling at the top of her lungs.

Adeline flew to the ground, lifeless. Her eyes open, glistening with fear. But Adeline couldn't see anything. Her life flashed before her eyes.

"CUBBY!" Draco's screams were deafening and painful. He wrapped his arms around Adeline's cold body. His tears pricking her skin. "She- SHE'S DEAD-"

Pansy ran forward. "Addy.. Who killed her?" Pansy's voice was full of pain, her tears falling down her rosy cheeks.

"Is she actually dead..? She can't be."  Pansy coughed. "It's not real. I refuse to believe it."

"She's dead.." Draco's voice was croaky. "I can't... This can't be real."

Bellatrix started to laugh. "Lost your precious ikkle Adeline."

"You- You killed her?" Draco got up.

"Yes, I did." Bellatrix smirked. "I killed a lot, tonight. Where's the harm?"

"She was an innocent.. Beautiful girl." Draco cried. "She.. She didn't deserve to die."

Bellatrix's lips curved into an evil smile. She walked away.

Neville was sat beside Adeline, his cheeks dripping with tears. "Addy... Please.. Please be alive."

But she wasn't. Her body was lifeless. Crowded with all her friends.
