It was the morning for Hogwarts.

Adeline had all of her clothes, books and supplies in her trunk.

Downstairs, Gabby was making Adeline a big breakfast. An English Breakfast!

Adeline, feeling stuffed, went upstairs to change for Hogwarts.

She put on her favourite jumper, black leggings and a pair of fluffy socks.

Adeline brushed her hair until all of the knots came rolling out.

"Adeline!" Gabby called. "You have to go now, or we'll be late!"

Adeline grabbed her trunk and swung her door behind her, running down the staircase.

At Kings Cross station, Adeline examined her ticket. "Platform nine and 3/4.." She pondered.

"Mum, where platform nine and 3/4?" Adeline asked.

"Uh.. Don't ask me. I know less about this whole magic thing than you do, Ad." She replied, a look of concern on her face.

A family came over to platform nine.

"Mum?" Said a girl with bushy, brown hair. "Is this the platform?"

"Well, I'm not sure. The lady who came to visit said you had to run through the barrier in between platform nine and ten!" Said the girl's mother.

"Can you go before me?" Asked the girl.

"Of course not. I'm not magical like you." Her mother replied.

Adeline's eyes widened.

"I've figured it out, mum, I'll see you at Christmas!" Adeline waved her mum goodbye.

"H-hello?" Adeline said to the girl with the bushy brown hair. "Are you going to Hogwarts too?"

"Yes, I am. I'm a muggle born witch." Replied the girl.

"Great! Me too." Adeline replied. "I'm Adeline Smith."

"I'm Hermione Granger!" Hermione replied. "We better get going, I'll go first."

Hermione took a deep breath and ran with her trolley into the barrier between platform nine and ten.

She went straight through!

"Wow, that's so cool.." Adeline muttered, taking a step back. Ready to run through to the Hogwarts Express!

Five seconds later, Adeline appeared into a brown brick train station, looking up at a great red train, titled with the words 'Hogwarts Express.'

Adeline entered the Hogwarts express and sat down in an empty compartment.

A bit later, a girl with ginger hair came and said 'I can't find any spare spaces, can I sit here?"

Of course, Adeline said "Yes!"

The girl sat down. "I'm Susan Bones."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Adeline Smith, muggle born witch." Adeline told her, shaking her hand.

"I'm half-blood. There are loads of half-bloods though, so it's not that uncommon." Susan says staring out of the window.

Adeline nodded.

"Muggle born wizards and witches are not very common, but not common. I've met two in our year, so far. Dean Thomas and Hermione Granger." Susan told her.

"I've met Hermione. What house are you hoping to be in?" Adeline asked Susan.

"Well, I'll most likely be in Hufflepuff. Only because I have relatives in that house." Susan told her.

Adeline nodded. "I don't mind what house I'm in."

Susan and Adeline heard wheels outside of the compartment.

"Anything from the trolley dears?" The trolley witch asked.

"I don't have any wizarding money." Adeline told Susan. "I spent it all at Diagon Alley."

"That's okay. I'll get a pack of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans!" Susan told her, handing the trolley witch one galleon.

Susan and Adeline shared the packet.

"EW!" exclaimed Adeline. "It tastes like dirt!"

"They are every flavour!" Susan giggled.

"We'll be arriving soon. You better put on your robes," said a ginger boy with a prefect badge on his robes.

"I'll see you later, then, Susan." Adeline said.

They waved goodbye and put their robes on.
