Adeline woke up, the following morning in an unrecognizable bed. She'd forgotten what happened.
She suddenly remembered as she saw Draco across the room, doing his hair.
"Morning, darling."
Adeline rubbed her eyes and yawned. "Don't call me that."
Draco laughed. "You're not very affectionate are you?"
"I am. I just-"
"I'm going to get breakfast. You should get changed."
Adeline got out of bed and opened her trunk. She pulled out a pretty summer dress and her hairbrush.
"Can I change in the bathroom?"
"It's alright. I'm leaving the room now."
And with that, Draco shut the door behind him.
Adeline slipped her pyjamas off and put the dress on. She brushed her hair. It was all frizzy today.
She went into Draco's en suite and turned the tap on. She put the brush under the tap for a second, and brushed it through.
"It'll probably get more frizzy later now.. But it's fine for now." Adeline muttered to herself, making sure she looked okay. She had dark bags under her eyes, she guessed she couldn't sleep very well last night.
Adeline walked down the staircase, and found Draco at the bottom.
"You look nice." Draco told her.
"Thank you. Can I get something to eat?"
Draco nodded and took her by the hand to the kitchen. It was stock high with food. Cupboards everywhere.
"You could open a shop with all this food!" Adeline joked.
"Maybe. Grab what you want." Draco picked a pastry up from a cupboard by the fridge.

"My parents want to see you." Draco tells Adeline
Adeline's heart dropped. "A-are you sure? Right now?"
"Yes, right now."
"What if they hate me??"
"Why would that change anything?"
"Alright, alright!!"
Draco pulled her up the stairs, to a small room.. A cosy little room with a fireplace and sofa.
"Mother, Father.. This is Adeline. Adeline Parkinson."
Draco's father glared at her. "Your dress is a bit.. uncovering, for cold weather, isn't it? You should wear something more suitable for the weather. To say the least."
"What the-" Adeline thought, "Why would he say that?" She was weirded out..
Draco's mother nudged him. "I think it's a lovely dress." She glared at Draco's father. "She doesn't need to wear anything different. And it shouldn't matter to you!"
His mother gave her a reassuring smile. Adeline smiled back at her.
Draco grabbed her hand and squeezed it nervously. "I'm sorry." He whispers.
"I'm Narcissa." Draco's mother told her. "And this is Lucius."
Adeline felt more nervous than she'd ever been.
"I'm very familiar with the Parkinson's, so we're not strangers, dear." Narcissa tells her.
Adeline takes a breathe. "It's lovely to meet you."
Everyone stood there silent for a minute.
"Well!" Narcissa spoke up. "What Hogwarts house are you in?"
"Gryffindor."
Lucius tutted. "I thought you could do better, Draco."
"Why does her house matter?" Draco asked. "She's still very ambitious, and can go far in life."
"I want to be an Auror. I got Outstanding's in eight of my OWLs.." Adeline told them.
"An Auror.." Lucius frowned, speaking in his harsh voice. "Dark wizard catcher?"
"Yes.." Adeline smiled.
"My sister's daughter is an Auror." Narcissa told her. "And my cousin.. was a Gryffindor."
"That's cool, who is your sister's daughter?"
"Nymphadora Tonks."
Adeline nodded, she didn't know why she asked.. It's not as if she'd know her.
"Adeline didn't know she was a Parkinson." Draco explained. "She was.. Kidnapped at three. She only found out the summer before fifth year."
"So she could be lying..." Lucius placed a book on he shelf.
"I'm not lying. At that point I wasn't even friends with Pansy. We were enemies. So I wouldn't want to live with her unless I felt I had to."
"I suppose..." Lucius muttered, looking her up and down.
Adeline cringed.
"Father, the only one that's allowed to check Adeline out is me." Draco glared at him.
"Draco. You will only speak when I give you permission. And I'm not checking her out. Disgraceful. You could do so much better, Draco."
"I think I'll just go.."
Adeline ran out of the room, her eyes all glassy. She didn't know why she was upset. Why did it matter what she looked like, or what she was wearing? If being with Draco was this hard, was it really worth it?
Adeline opened the Manor's huge doors, she ran onto the cobble ground. It was raining heavily.
She sat down. At least her tears couldn't be seen in the rain.. They just looked like raindrops trickling down her face.
Draco sat down beside her. He put his arm around her.
"My father acted disrespectful. I'm sorry. He never makes anyone feel comfortable. Don't take it personally, Cubby."
Adeline looked at him. "I don't know why I reacted like that! I think I just felt.. unwelcomed?"
"He made you feel worthless. He does that. I think you're perfect."
Adeline looked at him and smiled.
Draco took her hand. "It's fine weather for dancing. Will you?"
"Oh, Draco! It's raining!"
Draco span her around. They danced in the rain. Their clothes soaking wet. "You're always a surprise, Draco." Adeline laughed, wiping her tears from her face.
"Just wanted to make you happier." Draco smiled.
"I love you, Draco. So much.."
"I love you more."
