When Bruce got a call from Paris saying he had another biological child, he panicked. Luckily the couple called on his night off. They explained how they had adopted his daughter, raised her, how she's been having trouble in her school and home life, and how Paris isn't the most healthy place at the moment so could he please take her in?

It's a fantastical story and just a little unbelievable, so he tells the couple that he will get back to them within the day, and then proceeds to do as much research as he possibly can on his supposed daughter.

What he finds is less than encouraging but unfortunately lines up with everything the couple told him.

Bruce leans back in his chair and allows the implications to fully settle in. He has another kid. And she's considered a bully and a menace by nearly everyone in her class.

Just great.

Bruce was not prepared to deal with another Damian. He hadn't even been prepared to deal with Damian, and look how he turned out!

That thought paused Bruce's mini panic spiral. Sure Damian had been rough around the edges when he first arrived but after eight years the only people who were afraid of getting stabbed or sliced by his sword were thugs and rouges. Maybe his parenting methods weren't so bad (they really really were).

He could handle another problem child (no he could not).

So, newly encouraged, Bruce called the lovely couple back and told them that of course he would take her in. After all, she is family. What Bruce didn't tell them is that the second he meets her he is getting a DNA test to make sure they aren't lying.

And if they thought it strange that a billionaire was answering his phone coherently at three in the morning, and then calling them back within an hour, they were polite enough not to mention it.

Now that his potential daughter is definitely coming, Bruce had to tell his current children.

They were all getting in from patrol when he dropped the news. Their reactions were... unexpected.

Jason threw his hands up and shouted, "DAMIT BRUCE! You couldn't have waited another six months to adopt?! Now I owe the replacement money!"

Tim was incredibly smug, "Pay up chumps."

Dick just resignedly fished fifty dollars out of his wallet and handed it to Tim.

Damian rolled his eyes and scoffed, but Bruce didn't miss the twenty he slid Tim.
