Bunnyx glared right back at Lune, "You think I want to involve her in this?! If there was literally any other option that wouldn't end with thousands dead?!"
"Well, couldn't you just grab an older version of her to take care of this instead!" Lune demanded.
Bunnyx shrunk in on herself, "An older version of Marinette isn't an option."
Who knew such a simple statement could send shock waves of horror through a group of people so quickly.
Dark Mouse stepped up in his full menacing, 'I'm Batman and I'm about to beat you within an inch of your life' glory, "What is that supposed to mean."
The time-traveling rabbit hero took a deep breath, "There are an infinite number of timelines, and in my burrow, I can see them all. But, if you spend enough time in the burrow you start to realize things about how time works. Things you can change, and play with. And things that will stay the same no matter what you do. I didn't notice at first, it was all too new and exciting. But after a while, I noticed things, moments, that were common throughout every timeline, or that would drastically affect them all. I call them Turning Points." Even though her explanation was bringing up as many questions as it was answering, not a single person in the room dared make a sound, "One of the first Turning Points I noticed was Hawk Moth. No matter what I tried to change he always showed up. I can see the effects a Turning Point will have on future events after it's in effect and can't be changed. If a Turning Point is big enough it can even affect things that happened in the past. Chat Blanc was one. This is another."
Honeysuckle finally asked the question that no one else had dared, "So why can't you bring in an older Marinette?"
Bunnyx rubbed the back of her head, "Because the burrow isn't just a place. It's the physical representation of time. And it's smart. During Turning Points it won't let me see the potential futures that spring from them. And an older Marinette from a separate series of timelines wouldn't have the trust needed to fight herself." Bunnyx looked angry at herself, "I physically can't bring an older Marinette here."
Then Plume asked a question that had been bothering her, "Who's Chat Blanc?"
"An akumatized Chat Noir with unlimited Cataclysms and the ability to destroy all of reality." The veteran miraculous holders all recoiled in horrified understanding.
"How would you even explain this to a younger Marinette?" Hard Rock asked worriedly.
Bunnyx gave a bitter smile, "Even if I explained everything to her in detail, the moment she goes to her correct point in time, all she'll remember is the broad strokes. Times way of keeping us from knowing too much."
Then she sighed and sat cross-legged on the ground, the dark grey background almost making her glow, "If we can think of literally any other way to stop her, I'm all for it. Because at this point I can't think of anyone else who could adapt quickly enough to the current way Marionette's mind is working to be of much help."
The warehouse fell silent as everyone tried to think of an alternative.
