It's been three months since Marinette had come to live with them and two since she started attacking the others. Bruce had had many conversations with her, but they seemed to have no effect. Honestly, Bruce was running out of ideas.
After a rare patrol where they were all out together, without any major disasters happening, the bats were all ready to debrief in the cave. What they weren't expecting was to hear the sounds of a video game running from the batcomputer.
Without even looking at each other, they all quietly made their way towards the noise. What they saw caused all of them to freeze in shock. Marinette was sitting at the batcomputer playing Ultimate Mecha Strike. She won her fight and turned to look at them with a raised eyebrow.
"Did you really think you would be able to keep this from me for long? I may not be from Gotham, but I'm not an idiot." With that, the newest Wayne walked out of the cave as silently as any of them.
Red Robin rubbed his eyes, "Am I hallucinating or did everyone else see that too?"
"No Replacement, that definitely happened."
"Tch. We were going to have to tell her eventually. It's actually easier that she discovered it by herself."
That caused enough of a stir that the oldest three started arguing over whether it was better for her to have found out or if she should have been told.
"Enough," Batman spoke with enough force, that all four listened without hesitance. Silence fell in the cave. "It doesn't matter if she should have been told before. What matters now is that she knows. We need to ensure that she understands the importance of maintaining our secret. We'll discuss more tomorrow. Go to bed."
All of them ignored the fact that they were legally adults and followed his orders. It was going to be a long enough day tomorrow without added sleep deprivation to it.
--Bonus--
"WHAT?!" Tim's shout woke the rest of the house.
All of the bats rushed to the cave, prepared for the worst. What they saw was Tim staring at the batcomputer in complete disbelief.
"Complete Arkham breakout? Team-up between the Rouges? Talia being in town? What happened Replacement?!" Jason shouted.
"Marinette didn't just beat my high score in UMS. She beat every high score in every game for everyone." Bruce grumbled and headed back to bed. The others rushed to the computer.
"I didn't even know the scores could go that high!"
