Chapter 20

As the storm raged on outside the now-abandoned warehouse, everyone standing inside was as still as the body they'd just discovered, of the man, some of them weren't even convinced could die.

Tigger was the first to break into hysterical laughter, which was half laughing and half screaming.

Dark Mouse's face was as hard to read as when he was Batman, but if one looked close enough they would see the horror and sadness hidden deep in his eyes.

Javeline was laughing almost as hysterically as Tigger, tears running down his face.

Ibex and Húsān were making sure that he actually was dead. Ibex may have kicked him in the side once or twice for good measure (twelve times seemed a bit excessive, but it had been the Joker so...)

Hermes stood apart from the rest trying to track down Marionette. But wasn't having much luck. Eventually, Bunnyx walked over, and asked, "What's giving you the most trouble?"

"If I could just find her on a security camera, I'd be able to pin down a location and teleport to that area to find her!"

Bunnyx sighed and patted him on the shoulder, "If you're trying to rely on luck to find her, you might as well give up now. Trying that would be like trying to make Ibex eat Bat Cow."

"Next to impossible with a likely chance of getting hurt."

"Exactly." Bunnyx nodded, "Marinette may not be completely herself right now, but she still has the powers of luck with her. She won't be easy to find."

Hermes nodded before thinking of something. "You can time travel right? Why not just go back and stop her from getting kidnapped?"

For a brief moment, Bunnyx looked truly pained that she couldn't do just that. "If time travel were that easy, I would have stopped Hawk Moth from ever rising to power in the first place. But don't worry, I've got a plan for when we do eventually track her down."

Everyone else heard the bold declaration and turned to her with hopeful eyes. Dark Mouse was the first to approach the subject, "Well then what is it?"

Bunnyx hesitated, and those that had fought by her side before, albeit in with different powers, knew that look and felt their hope die just a little.

"Please tell me you aren't seriously be planning on asking a younger version of Marinette to fight herself," Lune asked in worry and semi anger. "Hasn't she been through enough?!"
