Marinette stared in horror at the scene in front of her.

Bodies haphazardly splayed across the floor like they were nothing more than her fabric mannequins. They were fresh bodies too. Blood pooling around her feet and being soaked into her dress, from where she was forcibly sat. Strapped into some kind of medical chair in the center of a room filled with corpses. Marinette felt ill just looking.

Behind her, insane laughter filled and echoed around the warehouse. Marinette tensed, as the sound of footsteps grew closer and closer.

Suddenly, a grotesque face filled her vision, sickly pale white skin with unnervingly green eyes, and perfectly straight teeth in the most twisted grin Marinette had ever faced. The Joker truly was a being of nightmares.

"Well, well, well! If it isn't Brucie's little princess! The newest little bird in his ever-growing menagerie!" Marinette flinched as his face drew closer to hers. The Joker laughed once more at her fear. "No need to be so scared! Soon enough I'll have you laughing and smiling just. like. me!"

The Joker pulled away, but Marinette didn't get a chance to be relieved because, from one of his pockets, he pulled out a large needle with what she could only fear was Joker venom.

As he approached her, Marinette started to struggle, hoping she'd be able to loosen her bonds somewhat before he was able to inject her.

"Ah ah ah! Struggling only makes it hurt worse my little Marionette! We wouldn't want you marring that lovely little face before we even began now would we?" The Joker grabbed her left arm even as she struggled and held it like she was perfectly still.

All out of options, Marinette closed her eyes and turned away. Awaiting the deadly dose of Joker venom.
