Marinette was seriously considering the pros and cons of patricide. She had been in Gotham for one month and the entire time her father had treated her like some kind of criminal. It would have been manageable if the other children, hell even just Damian the other blood child, were treated similarly. But no he treated them all like freakin royalty. It really boiled her blood.

She understood the DNA test, make sure Tom and Sabine weren't just lying for some reason. She got that. Marinette understood not wanting her to go into the city without one of the others. Gotham's a dangerous city and going out alone was just asking for trouble. What she didn't get, monitoring her every move, telling her exactly when and where she is and isn't allowed to go, constantly telling her off for any little offense (apparently going into the kitchen when Alfred wasn't there was worthy of a thirty-minute lecture), she was required to eat meals with them and would get told off for not doing so, sharp objects were expressly forbidden (the next time he tried to take her sewing needles she would take his arm).

And then, just to make matters worse, she found out they were all Gotham's vigilantes! It wasn't even hard! They were so obvious! If this was them being subtle then she was worried if they ever tried to be obvious!

So shortly after she discovered their secret, Marinette made a decision. If they wanted to treat her like a criminal, she would rise to the occasion. Marinette managed to sneak a dagger out of Damian's room (a feat that would be considered impossible by her older siblings) and laid in wait.

Her first (victim) attempt was Jason. Unfortunately, it was witnessed by both Damian and Father (what she had taken to calling Bruce after she noticed it made him extremely uncomfortable).

Marinette dropped from the ceiling and slashed the (stolen) borrowed dagger at Jason's throat. He dodged, but that wasn't enough to deter Marinette who kept after him. She lost sight of everything except for the slashing of her dagger and her target.

That is until she heard Damian tell their father, "I guess this proves that the violent tendencies come from you."

Jason froze and Marinette did as well. In some intrinsic soul-deep sibling moment, they turned to Bruce and said, "Burn!" Then their truce was over and she resumed trying to kill him.

The only thing that kept her from getting the upper hand on Jason was seeing Father move to intercept her.

With a grace that few had seen in her civilian life, Marinette leaped away from Jason and raced to her room. She could hear three sets of footsteps following her and picked up the pace. Latching onto the door frame and swinging herself in while also slamming the door in the face of her 'father' and 'brothers' was incredibly satisfying.

It was even worth the lecture she knew she'd be getting from Father later.
