Speed Of Love

After Rocky finally found and captured us, we all piled into the car and drove to Riker's friend Curt's birthday party.

"Who's curt?" I asked Ross.

He raised his eyebrows. "You don't know? Poor Curt. He's heard so much about you, but you've heard nothing about him..."

"So who is he?"

"You'll see when we get there." Ross wrapped an arm around me.

We got to Curt's house and some lady came running to the door.

"That's Curt's mom," Ross whispered to me, grabbing my hand.

"Where have you guys been?! You were supposed to be here half an hour ago! At least Curt's not here yet so you're ok."

Everyone looked at Ross and I.

Ross blushed and pulled me closer to him. I smiled guiltily.

"Come in!" Curt's mom said hurriedly, coming out and pushing us all into the house.

As soon as we got in the phone rang. Riker ran to grab it, but Curt's mom slapped his hand away from the phone.

"It's curt! He can't know you're here! This is supposed to be a SURPRISE party?" she picked up the phone. "Hello? Curt! When are you going to be home? Why? Ok. Get-- yes. Quickly!" she hung up. "Curt's running a little late."

Ross laughed. "Of course..." he muttered. Rydel shot him a look and Ross quieted.

He squeezed my hand and waited until everyone had become absorbed in a conversation about organic food, when he quietly pulled me into the living room.

He plopped down on the couch and I sat next to him, my hand still enveloped in his. He smiled and started picking at my nail polish again; this time I just let him.

I rested my head on his shoulder and he put his head on top of mine, still picking at my nails. Suddenly rocky ran by, "Curt's coming up the driveway!!" he scream-whispered in our faces.

Ross and I rushed to the door and moved into the middle of the swarm of people surrounding the front door.

There were the Lynch's... Carly and Brenda... And a couple of other people I didn't know, but riker was watching them like he watched his family members. Obviously they were close.

Curt walked in the door and we all screamed, "SURPRISE!" in his face. He started and his eyes got big, but once he realized he was in no danger except for a suffocating hug he knew he would receive, he relaxed.

"Hi!" he said happily. Riker and all of the other People I didn't know swarmed in and gave curt a giant hug.

After the party, everyone went home. It was fifteen past 11. Everyone walked into the house and went to their rooms without saying anything. Ross and i lay in bed together for a little while, me playing with his hair, him occasionally kissing me.

Then he looked around quickly and whispered, "I bet everyone's asleep now."

"So?" i giggled.

"so... Wanna do something fun? Or at least, i hope it's fun. It always looks fun in movies."

I nodded and Ross grabbed my hand, pulling me out of bed.

We tiptoed downstairs and outside, where Ross set up a ladder and we crawled up to the roof.
