Epilogue

(3 years later)

"Ross!" I shouted up the steps. It was 12:45. We were supposed to have left 15 minutes ago. "Hurry up!"

"I'm trying!" He shouted back.

Suddenly he appeared at the top of the staircase, a kid on each hip.

Ava was now 4, and we had a six month old named Leo. They were the cutest things on earth! "What happened to you helping me dress them?" He arched an eyebrow.

I shrugged, taking Leo from him. "Come on, we're going to be late!" We were all going over to Riker's house for a party -- a family reunion, you might call it. But then again, we saw all of Ross's family members everyday anyway, so I'm not quite sure if that's the right name for it. Oh well.

I ran outside to our car, Ross on my heels as I quickly strapped Leo in his carseat, then sat and watched as Ross took his time to buckle up Ava.

"Are you excited?!" He asked her in a whisper. "We're gonna see Aunty Rydel, Uncle Riker, Uncle Rocky.... Uncle Ryland. Grandma and Grandpa!"

"Yeth," Ava smiled widely. She had Ross's smile; it was frikken adorable.

"And Uncle Curt's going to be there, too. And Ratliff."

I wasn't quite sure why Ross had Ava calling Ellington Ratliff, instead of like, Uncle Ell, but I didn't really think about it when he started teaching her; then once I realized that Ratliff technically wasn't the right thing to call your basically-uncle, it had already stuck.

"..and Aunty Kelly..." Ross continued, counting off on his fingers.

"Ross, get in the car," I laughed. "We're already late!"

"Car daddy," Ava grinned, her pudgy cheeks scrunching up as she laughed and clapped her hands.

"Alright sweetheart," he kissed her forehead, then shut her door and came to sit in the driver's seat. He leaned over the console and gave me a quick peck on the lips. "Do we have everyone?" He adjusted the mirror.

I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, I'm just practicing. Once we have lots of kids, it'll be good to remember to say that. Have you not seen Home Alone?"

"Lots of kids?"

"Yup," he backed out of the driveway.

"Who ever said I wanted to have lots of kids? Do you know how painful it is to give birth?"

"Oh," he smiled almost seductively at me. "We'll be having lots of kids."

"And what makes you so certain of that?" I smiled, tipping my head to the side just the slightest.

He left his eyes on the road, pulling one hand off of the steering wheel and slowly sliding it up my thigh, not answering. I jumped as his hand didn't stop when my shorts started.

"Ross!!" I yelped.

He ignored me, his hand still moving up my thigh; there was barely any thigh left.

"There are children in the car," I muttered.

Ross puckered his lips, smiling out the window. "But there won't be at the party."
