"i wasn't expecting them"
peter was pacing around the room with his hands behind his back. he ordered everyone to shelter themselves inside the burrow after seeing miraz and his never-ending army establish themselves across from the field.
the small hidden conference room only had some of us. peter, caspian, susan, lucy, edmund, the d.l.f and three other main leaders of the narnians.
peter was talking about how he didnt expect them to show up like this, but i dont think any of us did. we were all taken aback.
susan wanted to say something but her face showed she wasn't quite sure it was a good idea. peter looked up and made eye contact with her, sibling telepathy taking place.
"you and lucy will have to go in search for aslan" peter announced and everyone's absent faces came back to life.
the dwarf, especially, was against peter's idea.
"you want to send a child to an unknown forest? haven't enough of us died?" he argued. i mean, he was right. so many have died already and all for aslan. nothing has gone according to plan.
peter shook his head. "we have no other choice if we really want to defeat miraz and his army"
susan nodded her head along and placed a hand on lucy's shoulder. "besides, ill be with her".
i licked my lips and debated on what i was going to say next. this recent dream i had was one of the most confusing and mind wobbling ones. if aslan talked to alexandria, he surely will talk to me.
"i will go with them too!"
everyone's head turned to look at me with eyebrows raised. edmund, who was sitting across the room, furrowed his and gave me a disapproving expression.
"theres no way youre going" caspian began. i got up from sitting down and walked near him. i wanted him and only him to hear what i was going to say.
"i had a dream, caspian, of alexandria meeting aslan. i could possibly be onto her and where she is. isn't that what you want?" i whispered.
he looked down at me, gazing at my eyes like he was searching for a lie. for a second i saw a glimpse of him saying "no", but i knew his 'all-time wish' is to have his real cousin back.
"do whatever you want" he finally said aloud, avoiding eye contact with me. i smiled and hugged him.
"okay, susan why don't you start getting them ready?" peter suggested and she nodded. lucy motioned me to follow them and i followed.
as i was walking past edmund he grabbed my wrist, making me abruptly stop. "don't tell me you're actually going" he breathed.
i removed his hand from my wrist. "i am".
and just like that i walked out of that room, feeling more confident than ever that i'll finally meet aslan.

"we'll be staying one night, our goal is to find aslan"
susan went over the rules and what to do in case of emergency a thousand times. she reminds me so much of my aunt. every time we would go somewhere with a lot of people she would remind us the rules fifty times, maximum.
to go and search for aslan in the middle of the forest we had to ride a horse. susan and lucy would be riding one together. thing is i have only ridden a horse one time in my life.
susan and mostly lucy, ironically, helped me with the basic commands a horse goes by. i cross my fingers i wont fall off and die that way.
we were near the entrance and ready with our horses. i was the only one who had to wear a black cape with a hood so miraz wouldn't exactly know it was me who was riding the horse.
