"time ripped us apart,
but in another thousand years
destiny will bring us together,
once again. until then,
dont forget me"
~——————————~we stood on a platform in front of hundreds of people. the day was clear and the weather perfect. the atmosphere was colorful and vibrant. the back scenery held other-worldly moutains and valleys, tying everything into perfection.
but the coversations and announcements being given out to the public were other wise...very thought intrusing.
caspian and aslan are talking about returning the people to the land of their "forefathers". one person from the crown had jumped in and said it had been generations since they had left this place called telmar.
"we're not referring to telmar. your ancestors were seafaring brigands."
seafaring brigands? hold up, pirates?
my doubts were answered shortly. their ancestors were indeed pirates who stumbled across a portal that eventually brought them here.
my world all of the sudden started spinning at a great speed. my thoughts were scattered like dropped marbles rolling and traveling to all places, even to those you can't reach. edmund must've noticed the sudden change in my face.
"are you okay?". he placed a hand on my back for support. generally i would say yes, yes im okay and ill probably get over whatever im vexed about in a minute or two. but not this. all kinds of things are running through my mind. all the possibilities.
my head shot up at the sentence "i will go".
my heart was beating 100 beats per hour for them. everyone's initial reaction was pure shock and surprisement. it is normal for someone to be skeptical about how this lion is going to send these people back to earth.
that same lion spoke and everyone listen attentively.
"because you have spoken first, your future in that world shall be good"
i flinched when the giant tree beside us started to move. not move as in moving locations but as in un-twisting its trunk, making a sort of space in between the two spaces of wood. it reminded me of the tree i came out of when i first came here.
i looked in the space made by the tree and was dissappointed to see that the only thing i could see was the scenery behind us. i expected something else, if i had to be honest, like a purple portal with swirls of black just like in movies.
this gave more of the impression that if someone were to walk through that they would just fall right off the cliff.
everyone in the crowd moved aside for the very first volunteers. i noticed one of them was miraz's most appreciated pet. i hope he doesn't serve to another corrupted politian when he leaves.
a woman with a baby came and another older man walked by his side, walking up the several stairs up to the platform.
the men nodded at caspian and aslan, they nodded back at them too. i held my breath as i watched approach the tree, getting closer and closer.
edmund glanced at me and grabbed my hand, giving it a squeeze. a much needed reassurance.
the people walked through the tree and to my relief didn't fall on the other side. they had very much dissapeared, without a trace. no sound was made, no magic glitter came out, nothing. it was just like that.
the subtle panic that arose was anxiety inducing.
"where did they go?"
"they killed them"
