Surprise Surgeon [SEBASTIAN STAN]

I laughed as myself and Ellen Pompeo misspoke once again. "i'm sorry guys i promise i'll get it soon" she said as we laughed, as did the crew. We were currently filming season 14 of Grey's Anatomy. I'd signed on as a guest star attending for just the one season, but absolutely loving the cast and the crew. Having been a long time watcher of the show, it felt a little surreal at first.

Ellen soon managed to get her lines spot on and that was a wrap for my character for a few hours. I smiled and said goodbye to the remaining cast members who still had other scenes to shoot as i retired to my trailer for a quick break.

I yawned as i grabbed my phone out of my pocket and began answering some messages and just seeing what i'd missed on social media. Which wasn't in fact anything interesting today. Over the past few years, my name had been in more articles and casting requests than ever before, with having gotten myself a side character role in Captain America Civil War. From there i went onto make some incredible friends with many of the cast members, causing a lot more eyes to look in my direction. After a few roles here and there, i was offered this role in Grey's Anatomy and jumped at the opportunity.

I was slouching on the sofa, glued to my phone as i made my way through one of the tastiest lunches i'd had in a long time. That was the thing i will miss about being on set, being able to get some of my favourite lunches. If i'm being perfectly honest i didn't want to leave. I was hoping Shonda wouldn't kill my character off so maybe i would be able to return in the future.

An hour had passed before there was a loud knock which made me jump out of my skin. "it's open" i said as i just finished my lunch. "we need you back on set" one of the crew members said to me and i nodded, smiling back at her as i placed my phone in my pocket and promptly followed her back to set.

I flattened out my scrubs down briefly to make sure i hadn't creased them too badly, luckily there wasn't a crease in sight. Myself and Kevin McKidd, who played Dr Owen Hunt, stood ready to walk into the patients room and start our next scene. He chuckled as he spotted me and i couldn't help but chuckle embarrassed. "and ACTION" was called.

We both walked round the corner and into the room, i held the tablet in my hand which had patient records on. Giacomo Gianniotti who played an intern Dr Deluca began his lines as we walked in. "this is Jennifer Colson, left leg fracture, bp in the 70's and lab results came back" Deluca said and i nodded before looking up at the patient. "don't you worry Jennifer, we're going to get you one of the best Orthopedic Surgeons" Dr Hunt said from besides me and i smiled her her warmly. "can we keep an eye on her fluids and make sure she has a new splint for when he gets here" i said to Deluca who nodded and myself and Dr Hunt walked out. "it's strange not paging Callie" I muttered as we both leaned against the desk and i signed some paperwork as Owen nodded. "well the temporary Ortho doctor is apparently here" he said after getting a buzz on his phone.

"looks like i got here at the right time". I frowned as i recognised that all to familiar voice and i turned around to see Sebastian Stan standing there in scrubs, a doctors jacket and a smug smile on his face. He laughed as i shook my head. "bucky?" i questioned jokingly and he laughed as he walked toward me, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "how did you keep this a secret!" i exclaimed as it appeared everyone was in on it. "i thought it would be a cool surprise, and also fancied a different career path" he said and i chuckled. "got tired of being an assassin?" i questioned cheekily and he chuckled.

Sebastian and I had gotten close whilst filming Civil War together but over the past two years, had only just recently got back in touch. A few coffees and a takeout later, there was a rather in-depth conversation about feelings and futures. A month later and we were seeing each other, very much on the downlow. But in the media this was in the extreme early stages and neither of us were anywhere near wanting to make us public.

"i cant quite believe what i'm seeing" i said, looking at the Scrubs and laughing ever so slightly. "what?" he said, twirling as he held his Doctors coat open ever so slightly to get the perfect twirl. "oh i wonder what nickname we should give this one" Ellen said as she walked on set and i chuckled as Sebastian frowned. "McDreamy, McSteamy, Mc...." Ellen muttered as we tried to think. "McBroody" Ellen said and i laughed a little harder than i probably should have. "it's perfect!" i said. "perfectly radiates your winter soldier vibes" i said and he frowned. "i don't actually have any" he muttered to me as we all slowly got back into position to retake the scene and continue filming. I sent him a smile from across the room as we resumed filming.

"bp is bottoming" i said frantically as the machines beeped loudly around us on the ER. Our patient had some unseen complication during surgery and we were loosing her. "more suction!" Dr Carter, Sebastians character called out. "he's tacacardic" i said as both of us looked up at each other from across the operating table. "get the crash cart" he ordered and quickly the paddles were placed in his hand as i placed the red markers on the patients chest. After attempting to try and get the patient back, we ended up loosing her.

"i felt stressed and it wasn't even real" sebastian said as we sat on the sofa in his apartment, watching the latest episode of Greys Anatomy, which also happened to be his episode as he keeps calling it. I was sat with twitter open on my phone, watching the tweet along which often happened with new episodes as they're aired. I couldn't wait for everyone to find out. "you're not concentrating" Seb said as he rested his chin on my shoulder and saw i was on twitter. "oh i forgot, you're favourite pastime is watching everyone else's reaction" he said and i signed. "no, i'm just invested in this fandom and people lost their shit when i joined, it's going to be glorious now you've appeared" i said happily and Seb chuckled and placed a kiss on my cheek. "we're on!" he said and i turned my attention to the tv to see my character and Dr Owen Hunt walking out of the patients room. "we need this Ortho surgeo, the fracture is already bad enough" My character said annoyed. "well it's a good job i'm fantastic at my job" Sebastians character muttered.

I chuckled as i looked down at twitter.

and boy i was not disappointed.

"this is the best shit show i've watched in a while" i said as i felt happiness floating all around my body. "this is the happiest i've seen you in weeks" Sebastian said. "i'm a passionate person. It brings me joy to see other passionate people" i said and he chuckled. "well it was a very nice working with you again" he muttered and i put my phone away. I'd probably read some more later. "well i can say it was a pleasure to have you on set" i said as i leant forward to kiss him softly. "and" i said softly, leaning back ever so slightly but still maintaining little distance. "you suit scrubs" i said with a chuckle and he laughed. "you're a weirdo" he muttered and i shook my head, grabbing the pillow besides me and whacking him with it gently. "i mean it's not as if men have obsessed and sexualise nurses since the 1940's" i rambled sarcastically at him as he nodded his head frantically not taking my point seriously. He soon shut me up as he placed his lips on mine, placing his hand beside my head as my back met the sofa.

"don't suppose you stole the scrubs?" i questioned, interrupting the brief period of eye contact as he shook his head. "enough!" he exclaimed and i soon i was in pain from laughing as he grabbed my sides. "where's your nurses uniform?" he muttered as i chuckled before placing my hand on the back of his neck and pulling him down to meet my lips as we exchanged laughter and sweet kisses over the next 5 minute period.
