Sun, Sea and Sabotage [Steve Rogers & Avengers]

*A/N - i know that this is pretty unrealistic as far as the holiday theme goes but just go with it y'all*

i was happily snoozing away in the sun, dreaming off, thinking about how much longer until i get to go home to my dog. He was who i missed the most. Tony had decided that we all needed a break after finally defeating Ultron. Therefore he'd hired a mansion with a big ass pool for us all to kick back and chill before we went back.

Suddenly i was pulled out of my dreams and I jumped, startled as freezing cold water was sprayed all over me. I gasped as i whipping my sunglasses of my face to reveal a very guilty, cheesy grin placed on the face of Peter Parker.

"peter!!" i shouted at him as he laughed his head off. "listen, i was only doing it for you're own good! you looked like you were getting a little red" he exclaimed as he backed away from me, dropping the water gun back into the pool. "i was perfectly fine!" i said, giving up my hard facade and smiling at him. "come on, everyone else is being really boring today, pleaseeeeee" Peter whined and i chuckled. "yes, please keep the two youngest members together and in the nursery" tony said walking out in his pyjamas. "thanks tony" i said rolling my eyes as Peter chuckled. Peter was only 16 bless him where as i was 20, but still pretty young compared to everyone on the team. I sighed before sitting on the edge of the pool and sipping my feet in. "come on, the waters nice" Peter said splashing me slightly. "you're meant to be spider man not fish man" i said and we laughed. I sighed before propping myself up and dipping into the pool. It was so refreshing, i couldn't remember the last time i had swam of my own free will. "this place is amazing" Nat said walking out of the house. "do we have any eggs?" Steve asked at the same time Nat spoke. "yes it is and yes we do" i replied. "i can't find them" Steve said looking at me sadly but winked in my direction. "i can't believe you Steven, you are a grown man" i said, making my way towards the steps of the pool and trying to hide the slight blush that came over my cheeks. "thank you y/n!" he said happily and walked back into the kitchen. I sighed before a towel was thrown in my direction. "don't make the floors slippy" tony said and i chuckled, taking the towel off my head and wrapping it round me. "yes boss" i muttered and walked towards the kitchen.

"they're literally middle self in the fridge door" i said to Steve as i walked in. "oh i know i just wanted company while i was making eggs on toast" he smiled at me and i sighed. "seriously steve! i was happy in the pool" i said pouting and he chuckled, making his way towards me and placing each hand on my cheeks before kissing me softly. I chuckled into the kiss as i placed my hand on the back of his neck. After Wanda had given Steve a vision when we confronted Ultron, he saw me die and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Since then he'd been completely open about his feelings for me which initially took me by surprise but we kept it lowkey because tony and nat had been trying to get us to be more than friends for years. "you're burning your eggs" i mumbled before he rushed over to the pan. "shit shit shit" he said and i couldn't help but chuckle. "this isn't funny" he said seriously and i couldn't help but giggle. "it's kinda funny" i said smiling at him. "i'll teach you to laugh at me!" he said loudly, picking me up off the counter and spinning me around. "Steve!" i squealed as he stopped, my legs wrapped around his waist and his strong arms perched me on the work surface. "i'll throw you in the pool" he said quietly. "i'll pull you in with me" i muttered, feeling his breath on my face with the proximity. i grabbed the collar of his white shirt and pulled him down to meet my own lips. the kiss quickly deepened as Steve bit down softly on my lower lip. "woah-JESUS- not on the worktop!" Tony exclaimed walking in but promptly covering his eyes. We shot apart, Steve practically dropped me as i cleared my throat awkwardly. "you're together?" Tony asked slowly as we both looked at each other awkwardly before confirming it. Tony smiles before walking away and not saying another work which worries me slightly. Steve shrugs at me as we both follow him outside where he is collecting $20 notes from Clint, Bucky, Bruce and Peter. "don't rob the kid" i said to Tony who just smiled happily. "has he gone mute?" Steve asked and everybody chuckled. "well as you can see, we had a bet, but our condition was we all give Tony 20 bucks and he stays silent for an hour" Nat said and i chuckled. "that's a brilliant idea, where can i contribute?" i asked and everybody laughed as Tony held out his hand. Steve gently wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder. I relaxed into his hug, part of me being relieved that we didn't have to keep us a secret. Next thing i knew Steve had picked me up and marched towards the pool. "steve no!!" i shouted as he threw me up, but i grabbed his arm and pulled me in with him. We both resurfaced as everybody was laughing. Steve glared at me as he brushed his wet hair out of his face. "i told you i'd pull you in with me" i said smirking and he laughed, wrapping his arms around me and kissing me.
