"this is a great party!" my friends said as we spotted Jessica from school. she was throwing this party cause her parents were out of town. Im 99% sure the only reason we got an invitation was because she wanted to seem popular by inviting the Seniors. She was a year younger but hey, free booze is free booze. I smiled pleasantly, looking around at all the drinks and red solo cups littering her house already. "i'm so glad you guys could make it!" she exclaimed, obviously already drunk. I chuckled softly as my friends looked at me happily. "let's get some drinks!" Christina said and we all made our way to the kitchen.

"my mom would kill me if she could see me right now" my friend Meredith said and we all chuckled, pouring rather large cups of alcohol. I decided on a vodka and lemonade to begin with, not really feeling in the mood to drink too heavily tonight. "why are you so glum? you're normally the party animal?" Izzy said to me and i shrugged. "i haven't been feeling too great" i said and Meredith smiled at me as Alex put his arm on my shoulder. "listen, that exam we took is done. It's over. You can't change your score by worrying about it. So don't, just relax and unwind!" He said smugly and everyone nodded. "i hate it when you actually talk sense" i said with a smirk and he chuckled. "let's get this party started!" George said happily and we all clinked our drinks together before drinking them down. "let's do tequila!" Christina said which made everyone cheer. I chuckled, my friends were enjoying themselves which was the main reason we came tonight. We'd all been working our asses of because we had our Biology finals and we are all applying to med school next year. "hey Y/N, nice to see you here" Flash said to me as he hwalked past which made me roll my eyes. "wish i could say the same" i muttered which made my friends laugh but he just glared at me. "i'm rich you know" he stated and i chuckled. "i'd rather my parents love me" i said, crossing my arms and raising my eyebrow at him. I knew it was harsh because of how little his parents acted like they cared. "you're feisty - i like it" he said throwing me a wink and walking past. I turned back towards my friends who were chuckling as i made a fake gaging face. "ew he's such a slimeball" Izzy said and i nodded. "i'll drink to that!" i said, pouring myself another drink while everyone cheered.

"y/n!" I heard my name and i turned around. I saw Ned standing there with a large smile on his face. "hey Ned, what are you doing here?" i questioned and he shrugged. "we got invited" he said happily and i nodded. "well i wasn't here and i don't want to be held responsible for you actions!" i said with a chuckle and he nodded. Ned's parents and my parents were pretty close friends, that was when my parents had a social life. Now a days all they seem do is work, i feel like i never see them. "when you say we...?" i questioned and he chuckled. "MJ and Peter are here somewhere" Ned said looking around. "well knowing MJ she's probably locked herself in a room and got a book out, and you shouldn't leave Peter by himself, you know this isn't his scene" i said with a chuckle and he nodded. He went to go and find Peter and i turned back to my friends. "aw, you're friends with children now?" Christina said sarcastically and i rolled my eyes. "sorry i can't use my emotional unavailableness as an excuse to be a bitch, unlike you" i retorted and everyone ooooo'd. She scoffed and chuckled. "it's fun, i'm happier this way" she said and drank more of her drink.
