Anita is attacked by Victoria three days after moving to La Push, but doesn't turn. The Cullens and the Wolf Pack are very confused as to who and what she is. Her screams are painful and have nearly killed, she hears whispers in the walls and death seems to find her like the plague, what's a girl to do but turn to Vampires, and Werewolves for help.

Anita's P.O.V
My parents had been considering moving us to a quieter town for a while now. We kept horses, as my dad was a breeder, and we were only on acreage in suburbia, so when my aunt had lost her job and needed a place to stay, we met in the middle, a small town in Washington called La Push. It wasn't bad so far.

"At least we have these beautiful hiking grounds right in our backyard." I had a tendency to think out loud. It helped me process my thoughts and relax, Jazzy said it made me sound like a crazy person.

"She's the prime example of myself being better company for me." I added verbally as I jumped off the edge of the fallen tree I'd climbed over. I was in my Doc Martins, my favourite shoes, and a pair of three quarter jeans, with a plain black T. I'd been walking for about half an hour at a steady incline. All I'd had to do was jump the back paddock fence and start walking.

"I wonder when I'll reach the top. Maybe I won't notice till suddenly I realise I'm walking down hill." I chuckled to myself as I jumped a large rock. There was a rustle of leaves followed by a couple twigs snapping. I whipped around and froze, my eyes glancing around the seemingly empty greenery. I shrugged, satisfied with it being a Turkey or other bird.

"Be careful of wolves." I mimicked my sisters tone with a chuckle. I turned back around and nearly jumped out of my skin.

"JESUS!" I yelped in suprise as I stumbled backwards a step. The red headed woman standing before me quirked a perfect brow, without causing a single crease in her porcelain, white, skin, as she gave a small smile. I regained my footing and placed a hand over my heart to calm it.

"Sorry I scared you." The woman said as she gracefully dropped from the bolder she had appeared upon. Her voice was angelic and I briefly wondered if she was a famous singer out on a break. She certainly looked like someone you'd see walking the red carpet despite her casual attire, but for the life of me I couldn't think of any star that looked like her. Not that I kept up with all that stuff, I just liked the song, or enjoyed the film, I didn't know names or faces.

"No, no it's fine. Sorry I yelled like a maniac." I said as I laughed lightly. The woman's smile grew and I couldn't help but widen mine. She seemed so nice and, inviting almost. She came to a stop in front of me before glancing around us.

"What're you doing all the way out here by yourself?" She asked as she tilted her head in such a smooth movement it kinda made my eyes unfocus, like looking at black and white stripes. I shook my head and briefly closed my eyes to refocus them.

"Just going for a walk. I love being out in the woods, in the tranquillity of nature. Thought I might climb a tree or something." I replied with a sheepish smile. I loved to climb trees. Most people had a fear of heights but I felt comforted when up high. I know, it's weird. The woman's smile widened further, though this time, it looked a little creepy. Like how the Jokers mouth is extra wide. With a sudden chill running down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck raising, I decided, it might be time to head back home.

"Well, I ah, should probably head back home. My dad's expecting me any minute now." I added in hopes that the thought that others were near by and waiting on me would turn her off any creepy ideas she had running. She just stared at me with that creepy smile so I turned on my heels.

"Well. Okay bye!" I said over my shoulder as I turned away from her, but she was suddenly in front of me. I glanced back over my shoulder in shock and confusion.

"How the- what the?" I took a step back from her when she opened her mouth and chuckled darkly. My heart beat picked up and my breathing quickened. She sprung forward in a fluid move so fast I nearly missed it. She harshly gripped my shoulder and forced my head to the side. I squealed in surprise and fear.

"Stop! What the he-" She sunk her teeth into my throat and I let out an ear-peircing scream. It echoed off the trees and birds rushed into the air as the critters buzzing and croaking stopped, and so did the woman.

She jerked back like I'd struck her to the head. She covered her ears as veins, no, cracks, fractured from the sides of her head as her hands pressed against her ears. I took that as my chance. I slammed my hand over my searing neck, turned on my heels and ran as fast as my stumbling feet could carry me.

Blood leaked down between my fingers and into my shirt making me feel sticky and hot as I huffed and puffed. I knew I was heading away from civilisation, but she had been standing in my path home. I pushed myself harder as I heard noise behind me, it was loud and rushing up quickly.

My heart throbbed as I spotted an opening of sky ahead and, a cliff. I was going to be cornered and eaten alive by this creepy zombie lady in the middle of the woods. My family would nver have closure, there'd be no body left behind. I'd just be the girl who went missing in the woods her third day in town.

Before I could break the tree line the red headed woman passed me and I skidded to a stop. My hair whipped at my face and got stuck around my bloody fingers as I kept my right hand pinned to the right side of my neck, or what was left of it. I was so faint and light headed, I was losing too much blood and exerting to much energy.

She stopped in front of me, at the edge of the cliff. My body shook in fear and exertion as I dropped to my knees, a sob tearing from my throat. She made eye contact with me and smiled that same wicked smile.

Thundering footsteps rushed behind me. The red head shifted her gaze beyond my form and scowled before doing something I, really, hadn't expected. She jumped. She jumped backwards, off the edge of the cliff and into, what I assumed was the ocean by the sound of the violent waves.

Tears spilt down my cheeks as I stared at the empty cliff. My body began to ache and throb all over as it relaxed and the adrenaline dropped. The heavy foot falls behind me slowed to a stop.

Someone had come and scared her off. I was gonna be okay. I was gonna be taken to the hospital and then my mum and dad would scold me for wondering to far before mum would break out in tears, followed by Jazzy, my older sister, who would try hide her's as she acted strong for me.

I let a small smile grace my features as the pressure on my neck lessened as my arm grew tired. Unable to turn my head, with my free hand I leant on my palm, as I turned my body to face them.

The last of the colour in my face drained as I saw what, not who, had scared off the woman. Wolves. Not regular wolves, huge wolves, the size of bears. Tears streamed down my cheeks as sobs wracked my body and I shuddered. I let my hand fall from my neck as more blood thickly oozed from the large hole, and I toppled backwards my legs pinned painfully beneath my weight, but too tired and sore to move.

The dirt crunched beneath their paws as they padded towards their meal. I was to be ripped apart either way, I suppose. In my haze I couldn't decide if being eaten alive by a crazy woman, or being ripped apart by giant wolves was worse.

A large black wolf appeard in my view as it stared down at me. As I looked up into its eyes I thought I could see sorrow and pity, but I was losing consciousness. I glanced to the other side, the only part of me able to move, to see a second wolf. This one looked softer, light brownish, grey mostly, as I looked into its eyes, it froze and stared back with great and powerful emotions. My lids feeling oh so heavy, drooped shut, and everything stopped.
