Franell Stein is a little Frankenstein's monster, born with the weird rapid ability that has her able to cut off her own hand and reattach it and the ability to heal minor injuries or bring back to life small animals.

Chapter 1
Third Person
A harsh knock at the door of Emily and Sam's house startles Sam, he only being able to hear it over the hurricane storm outside due to his super wolf hearing. He got up cautiously sniffing the air only to get a whiff of an odd smell, not quite human but not, quite, not.

"What's wrong?" Emily questioned as she stood and placed her hand on her fiance's shoulder in concern.

"Stay behind me." Was his reply as he walked to their front door on high alert. The knock sounded again this time Emily could hear it just above the storm. Sam slowly and cautiously opened the front door holding Emily protectively behind him with one arm. They were greeted by a young woman with dark black hair. She was soaked to the bone and shivering violently. Her head was turned observing the storm with fright as she stood under their porch roof. The wind ripped at the couple as they took in the appearance of the girl as she quickly turned to face them, her look of fear melting into a look of relief.

"I'm s-s-sorry to-to bother you but-but, I-I s-s-saw a moose and-and, I swerved, I rolled my c-c-car." The girl stuttered out as she shivered from the cold. Lightening flashed brightly across the sky and the girl nearly jumped out of her skin as the thunder followed shortly after. Emily shook her head to clear it and pushed past Sam as she gripped the girls arm softly and pulled her into their warm home. Sam protested quietly into Emily's ear as she sat the girl with stunning Grey eyes, on the couch.

"Em, she's not human. I don't know what she is. We don't know what she's capable of." He said to her quietly. Emily gave him a small glare.

"I'm not leaving a poor defenceless girl out in that storm." She hissed back lowly.

"I would-would never h-h-hurt anyone." The girl stuttered out hearing their quiet conversation. The two looked at her as another shudder racked her body. Sam sighed and wondered off returning quickly with blankets and a towel. Emily took them from him and draped them over the girls shoulders and she began to dry off and warm up. Shudders still racked her body but her voice was clear this time.

"Thank you for letting me in." She said softly as Emily sat in an arm chair across from the girl, Sam sitting on the arm off it for her safety.

"Of course. What happened, what were you doing out there, even driving is dangeress in this weather." Emily questioned softly. The girl looked up sadly.

"It's kinda a long sad story." She said before looking back down at her hands. Emily nodded telling her it was her choice if she wanted to tell them. The girl sighed.

"Long story short, my mum died of Cancer three years ago, and ever since, my dad's not been the same." She started and already Emily's heart was breaking.

"He, he did cruel things to me and, and I couldn't stand to be there anymore." She rushed out quickly while looking at the floor.

"I came here, cause I know my Uncle lives here, in Forks. I don't know where. So now that I think about it, this was kinda a stupid idea." She finished as tears began to run down her cheeks. Emily quickly stood and pulled the girl into a tight hug, which she happily returned. Sam felt bad for the girl but he couldn't get past the strange smell that lingered on her, and when he listened hard he could hear her heart had the strangest beat.
The two girls pulled apart and sat back down. The girl wiped her face of her tears before taking a deep breath.

"Anyway, I was on my way into town through this crazy storm, when a Moose appeared in the middle of the road and I swerved and my car spun out and flipped rolling a few times, away from the road. In my hast and fear to get out of the storm and to safety, I lost the road and, then I saw the lights from your house." She said with a slight smile and sigh. Emily nodded and opened her mouth to speak but Sam cut in.

"Who and what are you?" He said more curiously then rudely. Emily hit his arm, which didn't phase him. The girl looked between the two with widened fearful eyes.

"We wont hurt you." Emily quickly assured. The girl nodded.

"My names Franell Stein. My mum used to call me Frankenstein, because. Well-" Franell droned off as she gripped her left hand in her right. In a sharp twist and tugg, a disturbing tearing sounded threw the room as she ripped her left hand from her arm. The couples eyes widened in shock and horror. Emily covered her mouth in momentary disgust as Sam scrunched up his nose in confusion. The longer the two watched the quicker they realised that there was no blood coming from the disjointed limb. Franell sighed before putting her hand back against the stub of her arm, the skin very quickly knitting back together. She wiggled her left hands fingers as the couple looked like they'd seen a ghost. Or in this case a Frankenstein, or Zombie if you wish.

Franell wasn't undead, but she wasn't your average living girl.

"You. How?" Emily stuttered out. Franell looked a little frantic, holding out her hands.

"Please don't freak out. I don't know what I am, or how I can do the things I can, I was just born this way." Franell said as she looked down at her hands in sorrow. Emily softened again as she looked at the girl with pity.

"I can detach limbs and still live, I can be stab or cut and not bleed. I'm not immortal and I do age, but I'm just, I guess you could say Demi-immortal™." Franell explained as she looked back up at the couple with her big grey eyes, peaking threw long, thick, black lashes.

"I can also heal things. Like minor brakes or fractures, you got the Flu, it's gone." She added snapping her fingers as she said gone.

"I can bring small animals back from the dead, but people are to much, it would kill me to try bring a person back to life, or even near death. Sever injury, is still a stretch to." Franell said as she flourished her fingers in the air before gently, imagining something the others couldn't see.

"So you're a, what, a Zombie." Sam asked intreged. Franell shrugged her shoulders.

"If that's what you wish to call it, but I assure you I'm not undead." She answered not really caring to much but feeling rather tired. Emily noticed the girl wilting slightly in exhaustion.

"That's enough for tonight. I'll show you to our spare room and get you a change of clothes." Emily said as she stood. Sam sighed but nodded, he couldn't turn away an innocent girl, especially with her intreaging abilities.
