-Maria-

We all sat in my dorm exhausted, none of us bringing up what the hell went on. Me laying in the middle of the bed, Enzo on the right side, Alice on the left, and George on the chair.

We were all occupied in our own little thoughts, I could only imagine what my bestfriend is thinking..

"I missed it." Alice mumbles as we all turned our heads to her. "I've missed the night I've planned on for so long."

Realization hits as she tried to cover the lump in her throat with a soft tone. Alice isn't quiet, only when she's upset or on the verge of tears.

"Well if it makes you feel any better none of us really had the greatest time either." Enzo responds.

"Maria" George mouthed signaling me towards the door. I looked around the room following him cluless. "I have an idea" he smirks mischievously. "Get Alice ready." He closes his lips hiding his smile.

"My girl wants to go to the ball," he pauses fixing his hair. "she will attend." I was confused as to what he meant or what he planned but I was on board immediately. He left the room quickly with an exitced smile.

"What was that about?" Alice questions I look over to Enzo who was already passed out. "Hey!" She waves her hand infront my face.

"Sorry, you were saying?" I clear my throat looking up to her. I seen a stupid grin form on her face as she looked over to me tilting an eyebrow. "You are totally smitten over Berkshire." She awe's.

my eyes nearly popped out my head feeling my face heat up."You're joking right?" I snort shaking my head in disbelief.

"What?" she raises her hands in defense. "I get it, he's hot, charming, respectful." She lists causing me to blush even more. "And has really good hair." She nods impressively sending a wink.

I shook my head biting my cheek to stop my smirk, "that's besides the point, we're friends, nothing more" I shrug in an unconvincing way. I didn't even bother defending myself as much when it came to Enzo, part of me knew why I had been defensive all along.

"I'm getting sidetrack" I shake my head. "let's get you dressed so we can at least take pictures for freya." I complain pulling Alice's arm. I tried to make the reason as to why I am having my bestfriend dressing up so late realstic. She gave me an unsure look tugging the blanket over her head groaning.

"Bloody hell Maria it's late, I'm exhausted." She complains, her voice muffled from the blanket.

"Please" I beg tugging it down from her face. "For me?" I pout softening my eyes.

"You're so annoying you know that?" She rolls her eyes sitting up from the bed. I smirked at her response heading straight for my closet.

I scanned the dress for Alice, we figured it had been best I held on the dresses since she is pretty accident prone. The fact my bestfriends dress was here the whole time should've been a clear indication something wasn't right. I just had too much on my mind to even notice.

I grabbed the beautiful dress that was wrapped in a thick plastic handing it to Alice who's smile faded at the sight. She scanned each detail softly examining the pattern as her eyes started to feel with water.
