"It's not that bad." Draco shrugs eating a spoonful of mashed potatoes.
denial. The best way to shut things out.
"Easy for you. You can tolerate that bastard." I let out an annoyed sigh, my throat tightening slightly. I keep my eyes glued to the food in front of me. My stomach turning in an nauseating way.
Draco's expression changed quickly, he knew his father was twisted and cruel but hated people speaking badly about him. Whenever it came to Lucius he felt the need to defend his name.
"And your father is any better?" he snorts "Last I remember, he isn't in the picture." Draco snaps back. his voice stern and cold.
I could tell he regretted his words instantly, he met my gaze with a soft guilty look. He looked down immediately noticing my hard eyes burning right through him. He knew I hated bringing up my family, it was an ultimate low. Him on the other hand, was used to people talking about his pathetic father, it didn't seem much of a bother to him. or at least I assumed.
"Yeah and the only reason your father is in the picture is because he knows he'll never find another women at his beck and call." I reply out of anger. I was a bit taken back by my own words, I didn't expect it to sound more of an insult to Narcissa, but it did.
"What is that supposed to mean?" He questions, his glare burning.
"Enough, you are both idiots arguing over this man." Blaise cuts in before I had time to answer.
Draco's furrowed his eyebrows shifting his dark gaze to Blaise. "That man happens to be my father, show some respect." Draco glares back to me. I just wish he could admit it his father is a disgusting human being, not to me but to himself.
"I'm sure your mummy has extra room in that jail cell of hers." he adds with a cold chuckle. clearly speaking without thinking, like he always does, just to be argumentative. I tended to let Draco have the last word to be the bigger person but I had the urge to strangle him right here and right now. The stupid mad look on his face only pushed me more.
I felt my blood boil, my stomach feeling like it was a lava pit. Blaise swallowed his food glancing back to me and to Draco with a 'yikes' kind of look.
I didn't even think twice before shoving him to the floor. I climbed on top of Draco, the whole dinning hall went silent. I wrapped my hand pulling the front of his robe, bringing his face closer to mine. Draco rattled a bit in my grip from my shaky hands. I swallowed my saliva, the only noise I could here was both of our rapid heartbeats.
"I'd much rather rot in Azkaban with my mum then stay with your worthless, pathetic, idiotic piece of shit father." I mumble quietly to Draco.
fumes were steaming out of his ears and within seconds he used all of his weight tossing me off to tumble to the floor. He clenched his fist so tight it looked like his nails were inches deep in his palm. Without hesitation he punched me perfectly in my nose causing it to bleed within seconds.
that hurt.
"Did your daddy teach you that?" I manage to let out a laugh covering up my groan, just as Draco was about to throw another hit I rolled over causing him to punch the floors wincing in pain. Blaise tugged on my arm helping me up, glancing at both of us embarrassed and annoyed.
