As the moon almost reached its peak, the moonlight reflected onto the smallest iron in the shed. Adira was laying down onto the pointy hay near the loud animals behind her, sheeps couldn't stop making sounds that almost sounded like it echoed right back at Adira.
there was a small hole up, almost as tiny as a typical mouse hole, only, the mouse hadn't made it. It wasn't much to see up there, but you could see the moon in a contrasting point if she would lay just onto that perfect spot.
The big moon in the sky made Adira's eye glittered as she sat up, and out of the hay puddle, her whole back was covered in dust and hay, she felt an itching sensation as she stood up, like hundreds of spiders crawling onto her back. She tried reaching every last single straw, and after that last one had disappeared off her back, she stood up, her boots covered in more hay straws, but she was too tired to even pick them off.
Her hair was in front of her face as it blocked her vision, with an irritating sigh, her thread gently blew away as it went close to her sight, correctly out of her way. Her eyes glowed a little despite the dark shed, the only thing lighting up the darkroom was the light glittering through like light escaping to the darkest corners.
Her hand lifted up as she was about to walk through the door before she heard a loud noise behind her, there weren't much windows in the shed, but there were about two, small ones, closed by the glass as clean it reflected.
Adira almost turned herself around as her hair twirled with her, only to get a hand onto her mouth, it wasn't as tight she couldn't breathe, but tight enough that she couldn't make a single scream. "We gotta stop meeting like this." A familiar voice whispered into Adira's ear as her eyes widened.
Her mumbles were unrecognizable "Don't make a sound, okay?" as his hand slowly lowered Adira caught her breath, lungs finally filled with enough air again.
It was Milo- the boy from a day before, in the woods. "How did you get here?" Adira whispered with a pace as she stared him directly in the eyes, among knitted eyebrows.
"I- I needed to be here, they stole something from me." He whispered back, with the same expression Adira had.
"What are you doing here anyway." He asked, Adira took a step back as she began to feel the need to hurry, "No time to chat." She said.
"But Alli-" Adira turned herself around as she chose to ignore the boy behind her, the sun started setting as Adira's eyes became heavy, water filling her eyes with every yawn; but she had almost back what she had lost, and she didn't want to give that satisfaction of letting them keep it.
It almost felt like she wanted them to pay more than she wanted it back.
She opened the door to see the paths empty, lanterns losing their last touch of fire, and the fireflies turning up everywhere in the cold mid-air. "Allison you're gonna wake them, stop!"
Milo said with a hurry, he wasn't trying to make too much sound, but his pathetic attempt almost made a light turn on.
"Shut up," Allison said as she bowed her back a little, carefully she tried to hide as much as possible, even though a tall male was behind her, accompanying her every track on the mud path.
Small puddles were visible as he traced them, making them even more visible, but at the moment— Adira found a bright, blue spark coming outside one of the small houses close to the shed.
"Stop walking-" Adira demanded as she held her hand against his warm chest, her cheeks became a little red as she wasn't going to turn herself around, it would betray the glowing red cheeks.
"Allison-" Milo quickly said as he pointed his hands out; his hands tightly grabbing Adira's waist as he pulled her against his warm body.
"What are you-" Adira said but her words quickly got cut off "Stt, someone's coming." A soft whisper against her neck as he turned her around, her eyes brighter and wider as he laid his finger onto her red lips; His sight resting onto hers.
they hid behind the brick wall, the crickets made the silence less quiet as the chirped was with a soft sound in the background, there were millions of bright stars in the sky, they were shining as bright as the eyes of Milo's hazel eyes staring into the emerald green eyes of Adira.
His finger lowered as her lips have been shut, footsteps approaching closely as their hearts beat in sync, as loudly you could almost hear it. Their warm bodies weren't completely touching, yet you could feel each and other's warmth from a distance.
Adira's inhales were deep, but her exhales unnoticeable, almost as she wasn't taking any cold air in, the brick wall they were against was grey, vines going down like flowing water, only frozen and vine-like. "You can let go now." Adira's whispering voice said to Milo as his eyes focused on Adira's.
Adira was more focused on the path next to them, as the two dwarfs had already passed along.
Now there was just the outside, and luckily for Adira, Milo was there. "Milo?" Adira said as she looked him back into his eyes.
He shook his head a little; a strange feeling overcame him, and he was completely unaware someone was talking as his two hands swept away from Adira's hips.
Adira slid herself out of the situation as she looked into the dirty glass window next to them, it had dust in the corners, and moist all over. Adira's hands wiped a little against the window as she saw a blue light shining through the window.
