"How are we supposed to enter, it's obvious guarde--" With an interruption, a small sound was made as Adira had noticed Milo already made a dent in the window, while he was climbing through the window,
Adira turned her head as it had already been broken within seconds. The window was broken into pieces all over the place. there were leftover spikes around the window and shattered pieces of glass were on the grass.
Even though he had broken the window without making a single sound, Adira had noticed there was now a way to enter the house, she walked towards the window as she looked carefully at a way to safely enter the house they were breaking into.
Adira chuckled as it was her turn to enter through the small window. She placed her hands onto the bricks outside as she tilted herself up.
"Where did you learn that?" Adira chuckled as she squeezed herself through the small hole of the window. The sharp points of the window slid through her clothing as it made tiny holes into her clothing, fortunately, it wasn't as bad, since it hadn't injured her.
"Does it matter, we got what we want, right?" He said as he turned himself around to help Adira stand up, her sitting on the counter. "Be careful for the glass." He said after looking down at the counter covered in pieces of broken glass.
"I guess we do." The short answer broke the silence as they looked away from each other's eyes, which were locked a few seconds ago.
"What was stolen from you anyway?" Adira asked as she jumped off the small counter and walked towards the glowing blue sword on the small table, small creakings from the wooden floor.
With Milo's eyes observing the room, he saw a table with two chairs, made entirely out of wood. Some flower pots onto it as the sword laid there as it was supposed to be taken. A small kitchen with now counters covered in glass, and two doors on the left.
The whole house was pretty dark since the light was turned off, the only thing lighting up the small house, was the glowing blue sword shining as the moonlight reflected it.
"Maybe it's behind one of those doors?" Milo questioned himself as he walked closer to the door, with a silent walk he hadn't noticed the small house they were in, as he almost bumped his head a few times.
"You don't know that for sure Milo, we could get caught." Adira's concerned voice hadn't effected his choice to open the door, and with unsureness Adira fast-walked towards Milo grabbing his hand before it opened the door.
"What are you looking for?" Adira questioned as Milo stopped without taking another step.
"Why are you so interested in what I've lost?" His head turned to the side as his eyes were trying not to look her in the eyes as she did with his. Adira took another step with a loud creak on the floor.
"You can't risk getting caught; it can't be that important," Adira said as she lowered her hand, but his attention went to the floor, which kept creaking everytime Adira made a move with her left foot.
"What?" Adira looked down herself as her foot shifted away from the creaking board.
"There's something under here." His curiousness hadn't stopped him before, as he bent down to the wooden plank, and with a steady hold he opened the hidden spot under the floor. Dust floated around them everywhere as Adira grounded herself as well.
The only thing other than continuous spider cobs and dust was a small bag, with supposedly something in it. He grabbed it without pause as he wiped off the leftover dust.
Before he could open the bag a loud sound made their focus disappear into the dust air as they both stood up in shock. The door slammed open as two small dwarfs looked them sharp through the eyes.
Their eyes were as orange as fire, and their hands were glowing more then the bright sun at 'noon. Before they could even take a step Milo grabbed Adira's hand as tightly as he could and without hesitation, he dragged her towards the front door while Adira kept her sword as close to her hand as she could.
The house started lighting up as if the sun was captured in the same exact house, the running hadn't remained long as Milo opened the door and slammed it right behind him as he dragged Adira towards the forest.
"Wait, we can take my horse!" Adira shouted as they ran almost as fast as the horse they were about to ride. Adira remember she still had left the horse outside, and as they ran faster, Adira almost trembled a few times.
The noises of crunching stones on the path were the most calming sound in the situation as they joined Raven, Adira's horse. Milo had already let go of Adira's hand as he released the robe around the pole Raven had been tight too.
While mounting, he sat on the horse within in seconds as his hand reached out for Adira to grab. "Come on!" He yelled, his knitted eyebrows were visible even though the night sky was black, full of glowing stars, his brown curls were messy as they almost covered his sight.
The orange light behind them lightened up as they came closer, all sorts of colors were beaming in all sorts of directions as their eyes lighten up with every second they waisted, all Adira could wonder was, why were they so angry?
Adira clutched Milo's hand as tightly as she could possible can, and climbed onto the horse, holding on as tightly as she had to. The weather was perfectly clear with a slightly bit of wind, and as Milo turned the horse around they started galloping into the dark forest, away from the danger.
The trees moved rapidly as the leaves fluttered away from seasoning, the wind was as rapid as ever. Adira had realized all of her stuff was back at the shed but-- all she could think about was instinct and survival.
As the wind kept rapidly depart the galloping became faster as the light slowly faded away into the distance, Adira's hands were tightly wrapped around Milo's waist as she softly gripped onto his leather shirt, as if she didn't want to let go.
Her arms were almost glued onto him as she held herself even tighter to him, her head rested onto his tense back. Her hair was going all sorts of ways as the wind was too, it was wild, leaves falling through the wind as they went as fast as light.
Even though it was dark since it was midnight, the only thing causing them to see was the moonlight shimmering through the trees, as the path gently dissolved into moss and grass, mixed with the crunching snow.
"Are you okay?" Milo shouted as hard as he could, but even though he tried, the wind was louder than his deep shout.
"What?!" Adira shouted back, and with his eyes rolled, he was focused more on the road instead of her wellbeing. Even though they had just escaped great danger, they both grinned before slowing down towards victory.
