Chapter 16

*Ten Years Later (after they got married)*

3rd POV

"DADDY!!!!" A little girl of about 7 screams in joy running down an oak panelled floor.

"What is it sweetie?" A 28 year old man pops his head out of of the doorway, a towel and plate in his hand. His jet black hair falls in a mullet around his shoulders.

"QUICK SAVE ME! MUMMY IS GOING TO CATCH ME!!" She yells running behind the man as another man, this one of 27, runs after the girl. His blue eyes gleam and he runs into the kitchen after her picking the little girl up and twirling her around the kitchen.

"Lance!" The man with the mullet says.

"What?" Lance says putting the girl down.

"Be careful with Lyra would you?" The 29 year old puts down the plate he had just finished drying and picking up Lyra and balancing her on his hip.

"Oh be quiet Keith!" Lance waves his hand around. "We were just having fun!"

Keith sighs. "Hold Lyra I'm going to check on Leo ok?" He hands Lance Lyra and walks out of the kitchen into a small room where a boy of around 8 is has headphones on.

"Hey buddy you alright?" Keith asks knocking on the door.

Leo looks up and takes off his headphones. "Alright thanks Dad! I heard screaming everything alright?"

"Yeah it's just your Mum and Lyra playing.." Keith reassures.

"Oh ok that's good."

"So I was wondering if you wanted to come to the beach with me, your Mum and the team?" Keith says leaning against the doorframe.

"Ok!" Leo says jumping out of his seat.

"Come on then!" Keith beckons also to follow him and then shouts to Lance telling him he'll be waiting in the car.

They arrive at the beach Pidge and Allura are lying on towels and Hunk is already in the ocean. Shiro is standing shielding his eyes from the sun and waves when he sees us. Curtis, Shiro's husband, is playing in the sand with a 5 year old girl with pigtails.

"Hey guys!" Shiro says waving at Lance and Keith. Lance lifts up his hand in a short wave before wrapping back around Lyra who is balanced on his hip. His hand is clasped in Keith's. Keith let's go of Leo's hand for a second and waves at Shiro. Pidge turns round at Shiro's shout.

"Oh hey guys! LEO!" Pidge screeches running up to them. Leo wriggles his hand out of Keith's hand and runs to Pidge.

"AUNT PIDGE!" Leo runs to Pidge throwing himself into her her. They embrace and then Pidge starts talking about a new robot she's working on. Lance rolls his eyes at their antics. Lyra tugs on his ear and he puts her down. She runs over to Curtis and the girl.

"STELLA!" Lyra yells causing the 5 year old to look up.

"LYRA!" The two young girls throw themselves together in a hug.

"Hey guys!" Hunk says walking out the water.

"Hey Hunk!" Lance greets. Keith turns to Lance.

"Wanna go grab the ice creams?" Keith asks.

"Sure!" Lance answers.

They grab ice creams for the team and sit down on the beach watching the waves wash against the shore. Lyra comes running over with Stella

"MUMMY! DADDY!! TELL ME A STORY!" She yells and Leo looks up and walks over. 

Keith thinks for a second. "Have I ever told the story of how Mummy, Lance, got turned into a baby?" Keith asks.

"No!" Leo shouts.

"Well it all started when we went on a mission......"
