Chapter 5

No ones pov
The red numbers of the clock read 6am Reid and JJ woke up. Not bothering to walk up Hotch or Emily the both slowly walked down the stairs. Both their tummies rumbling they walked into the kitchen wondering where everything was.
"JJ what do you want to eat?"
"I don't know what there is to eat." However both were moving a chair together towards the fridge. Reid helping Jj up were able to open the fridge where they barely found food. Hotch had to go grocery shopping. She jumped down only hurting her leg a bit, but it didn't stop her from yelping a bit. It was still loud enough to wake up Emily and Hotch.
Both sprang out of bed almost bumping each other in the hallway.
"Jj Reid," they both called out. They rushed downstairs seeing a chair pushed to the fridge.
"Are you guys alright," asked Emily crouching down to their pouting faces.
"Yes we are," Jj said not bothering to look up. Reid glared at her.
"No you aren't. You fell and hurt your leg. Stop lying JJ." Emily and Hotch looked at each other then the kids. Jj was lying to them. Why was she lying?
"Okay fine I hurt myself!!! There are you happy Reid for telling the truth," she said glaring back. Emily picked JJ up knowing that she was about to start crying and knowing that she would want to do that privately.
Hotch pov
"Come on Reid let's make the ladies some breakfast, which is only cereal. Remind me to go grocery shopping later today," I said looking down at Reid who nodded sadly. He was probably still worked up about telling on JJ. He probably thought we were mad at JJ or that JJ was mad at him.
As I crouch down, I move his head up and brush some hair back and said, "Hey buddy, you did the right thing you know? Lying isn't good and you should always tell the truth and I'm proud you did the correct thing alright?" He looked into my eyes and nodded.
Getting back up I said, "Now let's fix 4 bowls of cereal for us. Do you want to help get the milk out while I get the bowls. You became my small guy."
"Hey Im not small. I'm big like you."
"Alright tiny little man whatever you say," I said ruffling his hair.
I got the bowls out and reached for the cereal when I see Reid struggling with the milk. Okay so maybe I shouldn't have let him get the milk since it was heavy for him. I reached over and helped. After I picked him up and sat him on at the barstool. I poured him some cereal and got a sale thanks in return. I sat next to him and ate mine.
Emily pov
As I was carrying JJ back into the room, I made sure to comforter by rubbing her back and giving some kisses on her head.
We sat down on my bed and she was still in my lap. With some silent tears running down her face, I just wiped them away.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked her.
She nodded, "I'm don't want to be this small! I want to live by myself!! I don't want help! But I'm scared what wha what if they doctors can't turn Reid and i back. Not only that but I feel the grownup me is slipping away." Tears were just running down her eyes now and she buried her head on my neck.
"Oh JJ, Hotch and I will be taking care of you and Reid. You're not going to be alone and you shouldn't be scare. The doctors will fix you and Reid we just don't know when. Lastly no lying. You know that's wrong," I just ran my hand down her back and leaned back on the bed. We just sat there for a while until JJ's sobs turned into sniffles.
Picking her up I said, "The boys are downstairs probably eating all the food. You know how they are they'll eat everything." I managed to get a smile and a small chuckle from her.
Walking into the kitchen there was Reid and Hotch finishing their bowls of cereal. I poured milk and cereal for JJ and I.
"Alright I have to get ready because I have a meeting with Strauss in a hour and half," Hotch said getting up from the table. He gave me a look as in we are going to have to talk later about what happen with JJ. A half of hour later he left. Now it was just me and the kids. I got the kids ready and made sure they were watching tv while I get ready. Now we have to wait for Rossi, Garcia, and Morgan and see what this day brings us.
