No ones pov
Over the next few days, they spent time together and with the other bau members. The doctor from NH came down to develop something for them to turn back into adults. Emily and Hotch giving each other longer looks when the other wasn't looking. The kids coming more out of their comfort zones. Today they were going the Rossi mansion for a pool day.
"Wake up Em'ly!!!" said JJ and Reid jumping on her bed while Hotch smiled from the door.
"We are going to Rosi today. We goin swimming!!" JJ said jumping off the bed into Hotch's arms which woke Emily up more.
"Alright I'm up," she said getting up, but Reid just full on hugged her and they fell back in bed. His cast has gotten smaller since the last days and they would have to put a waterproof baggie over it so he wouldn't get it wet during swimming.
"What's wrong blueberry?" asked Emily as she brushed his hair back making him cuddle further to her if it was possible.
He yawed, "I'm still a bit tired JJ woke me up." and they all turned to stare at her.
"Wha I'm excited," she said shrugging her shoulders. She wanted to be put down so she can cuddle with Emily too. Hotch noticed and put her down and she crawled up to the other side of Emily.
"I guess it's cuddle time with Emily, what about me?" asked Hotch with a small smirk on his face.
"Silly Ho'ch, you come here," said JJ holding one of her hands out and the other wrapped around Emily's neck. Emily was nervous in the inside but didn't try to show it. They were acting like a family for god's sake something she was nervous about. Especially since her boss was about to get in bed with her. WITH kids obviously.
He got in and wrapped his arms around all three with JJ moving closer to him. They sat there for a few minutes with butterflies flying around Emily's stomach.
"Alright guys we have to eat breakfast and get ready for a pool day at Rossi's," said Hotch getting out of bed. JJ following out the door while Reid stayed behind.
"You okay Reid?" asked Emily looking down at him.
"I feel like I'm forgetting my memories of older me," he said looking with wide eyes to her.
"I will talk to Hotch about it and we'll see if we can get an appointment with the doctor to see the progress and how it is going," she said brushing his hair.
"What about JJ and I we can't stay here forever and bothering you and Hotch."
"You aren't bothering us blueberry. I like mini you and JJ. Believe it or not you guys brought out this calm side," she said still brushing his hair back and gave him a kiss on the forehead. They both heard Hotch and JJ making breakfast.
"Come on let's go get breakfast," Emily said. Reid out his hands up wanting to be carried. Oof was heard from Emily exaggerating how heavy he was.
"What are you guys making?" asked Emily as she looked around.
JJ looked up and smiled, "we are makin pancakes with fruits."
Reid suddenly smile, "Is there blueberries. I want blueberries please."
"Yes Reid we got your blueberries," said Hotch realizing how much Emily's nickname for Reid is very true.
They are silently and of course the kids had a mess around their mouths with syrup.
"Come on munchkins let's get you showered and pack your bathing suits for the day. Remember superman extra clothing for them," Emily said taking JJ with her so she can get her ready.
"Yes wonder women I know I know." About 25 minutes passed and they had Reid and JJ cleaned and were packing their clothes. Reid and JJ were in the living room watching tv.
They were walking out of the bedroom when Emily's foot slips and she almost fell until she felt Hotch grabbed her waist. He pulled her up and close to him. Both staring at each other's eyes with Emily's cheek being very red.
It wasn't until Hotch spoke up and said, "Well of course wonder women has to be very clumsy."
Emily smacked his hands, "Oh shut it. We have to get ready because two little kids downstairs are going to be impatient soon."
Emily began walking towards her room and Hotch chuckling was all she heard. Hotch was continuing to stare at her.
'She's my subordinate. I shouldn't be thinking of her like that.'
'He's my boss. I shouldn't be thinking of him like that.' Those thoughts ran through their minds as their showered and packed their clothes into their bags.
30 minutes later, they were off to go and on their way to Rossi's with smiley kids in the back row and two adults in deep thoughts.
