Chapter 10

Emily's pov
Arriving to Dave's, the kids couldn't keep their happiness quiet and bouncing on their booster seats. We let them down and they went running to the door leaving Hotch and I to carrying their bags. All you hear if their chattering and little knocks pounding on the door. Once Dave opened up, they screamed with excitement and were telling him have happy they were to go swimming.
"Hey guys. How are you doing? he asked us. I gave a look to Hotch saying how I was going to help JJ and Reid change to their bathing suits. As I walk towards the quest bedroom I hear him say, "It's going good. Emily has been incredible......" Aw he thinks Im incredible.
Hotch's pov
"Hey guys. How are you doing?" Dave asked us. Emily gave me the look that she was going to change the kids.
"It's going good. Emily has been incredible with the kids. She patient and always knows what she's going. She would be a great mom," I said looking over to the hallway she left in.
Rossi just smirk, "How are you and Emily. Seems like someone likes her and you should go after she. She also seems interested in you."
I just shook my head, "she wouldn't be interested in someone like me.
"You never know," he said winking just when the doorbell room. He went to greet Garcia and Morgan and I went to check on the kids and Emily.
I knocked one of the guest bedroom, "Hey are you guys in here."
Emily opened the door and quickly JJ ran out crashing into my legs. Holding her hands up for me to carry her.
"Hey pumpkin. Are you ready to go swimming," I said as I see that she is dressed in a navy blue one piece swimming suit.
"Yes I know how to swim," she said excitedly. Then Reid comes out also wanting to be carried. He is dressed in shorts with dinosaurs print. I carried both of them walking into the room where Emily was waiting.
"I'm going to change in the bathroom. Can you stay in here and get them to put sunscreen on please?," she asked me.
"Of course."
A few minutes later she walked out wearing a navy blue one piece just like JJ. They were matching. I couldn't stop staring at her. Her long endless creamy legs were just going on for miles.
JJ and Reid were obvious to me staring at her. "Em'ly, Hotch is staring at you. I think he thinks you're pretty," said JJ laughing and look at Reid who was for once not clueless.
"Go change superman," she said rolling her eyes, but was blushing. I watched her leave the room with the kids holding her hands. I shook my hair at the thoughts of how gorgeous and beautiful she was. I changed into the same shorts Reid was wearing. I guess we'll be matching.
Emily's pov
I can't believe Hotch was staring at me. Does he think Im pretty? My thoughts disappeared once Penelope screamed when she saw us.
"OH MY GOD gumdrop and mini cupcake, you guys are matching. Seriously you guys are adorable," she said pulling us in a hug. Just then Hotch walked out.
"OH MY GOD. BOSSMAN AND PRETTY GENIUS IS MATCHING TOO," she said dramatically.
"Yes Garcia we are all matching." Hotch said taking the kids outside were Morgan and Dave were grilling things up.
"You have to tell me everything about Hotch. Even though I visit, I don't know how he is," she said linking my arm with hers and walking out to the deck. We sat down on the lounge chairs and I well laid back. JJ saw us and ran over climbing up to sit on me.
"Hotch is okay at home. He's a lot less serious with having the kids around which is nice seeing this side of him. It nice to know how he came be off the job," I said looking over and saw him laughing with Reid being swing around be Derek.
"Penny, you know Em'ly and Ho'ch call each other superman and wonder woman," JJ said which made me turn my head quickly back and widen my eyes.
Penelope had a happy face on that I though it would freeze on her.
"NO WAY you and bossman are flirting with each other," she said excitedly making sure it was quiet.
I rolled my eyes, " No we were not flirting."
"Yeah sure you were. He likes you back I mean he is staring at your right now, but don't look back because it would make it obvious that we're talking about him. This is perfect too because you guys love each other literally."
"I need a beer," I said walking with JJ to get some juice for her.
Hotch's pov
Emily and Penelope walked towards the lounge chairs and wearing laying on it. JJ ran over climbing onto Emily.
"Aaron stop staring at Emily," said Dave smirking at me. Morgan was staring at me in a mid swing from swinging Reid around. He began to smirk too.
"Did you know that Em'ly and Ho'ch call each other nicknames," Reid said.
Oh really kid. What do they call each other," Derek said smirking at me.
"Superman and wonder women."
"Superman and wonder women. Interesting, but in serious Hotch you should go for her. She likes you it's completely obvious, said Derek looking at me.
"I don't know," I said looking over at Emily.
"Yup he's a goner," said Dave making me smack him.
No ones pov
For the rest of the afternoon, the kids splashed and played around in the pool with the adults. Everyone was letting loose for once. Even Rossi joined in the swimming before he finished grilling.
They ate lunch and dinner with some cookies that made the kids happy even though they were very tired from swimming all day.
They were all sitting around by the fire at changing into some warmer clothes. JJ was sitting on Hotch falling asleep and Reid was on Emily wide awake.
Emily noticed the time and looked over to Hotch where JJ was sleeping, "I think it is time for us to go home. As much as I would love to stay we have to get these littles one in bed since it will be their bedtime soon."
"Aw princess they have an early bedtime," Morgan said joking around.
Emily playful glared at him, "Yes they are 4 and they need their hours of sleep especially after a long day like today."
They packed up their things and waved goodnight. They buckle each kid into this booster seats. About 5 minutes on the road they were completely dead to the world.
"I had a nice time today. Did you?" asked Hotch looking over at Emily for a second.
She smiled, "I did. I am a little tired, but I'm down to watch a movie after we put the little kids to sleep. How does the sound?"
"Sound great with popcorn too?" Hotch asked.
"Do you even need to ask. Yes of course," she said chuckling. They spent the rest of the car ride talking about random things and activities they should do with the kids.
Once they arrived at home, they put the kids in bed. They were going to shower them early tomorrow since it was late and they didn't want to wake them up.
Hotch made the popcorn and Emily picked the movie out. They sat and watched the movie, but halfway through they fell asleep not knowing what position they would be waken up in.
