Chapter 8

No ones pov
It was a quiet morning at the Hotchner's house. Hotch woke up to quietness and checked everyone's bedroom. First, he checked Emily and saw she was sound asleep. She looked beautiful. He the. checked on Reid and and JJ. He saw JJ get in Reid's bed and both were sprawled out. JJ probably get scared and woke Reid up to sleep with him.
It was only 8 in the morning. He decided to bring breakfast since they had to go grocery shopping later today so he wrote a message to Emily on her phone and on paper. He quickly changed and left.
Emily got up and rested a bit before checking her phone. She saw the texted message and decided to get ready before waking the kids up. She showered and changed.
Walking in she saw JJ and Reid sitting down and playing with some of the toys they got.
"Good morning, what are you guys doing awake," she asked where she was from leaning on the doorway.
"Not tired anymore," they said continuing to play. Emily sat with them and played for a minutes before getting up asking them, "Do you guys want breakfast? Superman getting breakfast for us and should be back soon. Don't tell Hotch I called him superman, okay? She winked at them. She put her hands behind her for each kid to grab on and made their way to the bathroom.
They were sitting the counter, brushing their teeth and giggling when they hear the door open so they tried to brush their teeth quickly.
They ran down the stairs with Emily yelling behind to be careful.
"Good morning. How did you guys sleep?" Emily heard Hotch say.
"We slept good, but JJ got scared so she slept with me," Reid said looking to see what Hotch bought and if there was any coffee.
She reached the counters and saw JJ perched on Hotch's arm. JJ than leaned into Hotch's ear and no so whisper, "Em'ly called you superman, but she told us not to tell you." Emily immediately turned red and Hotch turned to stare at her with a little smirk on his face.
He leaned into JJ and in a not so whisper said "Did you know she's wonder women though?" JJ eyes widen and she shook and her back and forth. Emily's face to turn even more red if that was possible.
Without noticing, Reid go onto a chair and helped himself to some blueberries. Somehow he got some smashes over his face. Emily was first to noticed and started laughing.
"Oh no Reid became a blueberry," she said and they are started laughing. They are their breakfast and had to the tell Reid and JJ that they cannot have coffee because it's not good for someone their age. They also talked about their plans for the day and decided they had to go grocery shopping.
About an half later, they were ready to leave and created their list in the car. Just the basic necessities.
Heading into the grocery, Emily and Hotch put Reid and JJ sitting the shopping carts seater thing. (where i go shopping two little kids can sit there). They weren't happy until they were promise to get candy.
"I want blueberries," Reid kept ranting about. While JJ wanted some pumpkin pies. Where kids this persistent?? The thought ran though Emily and Hotch's head.
They managed to get their things and put everything in there car without any problems. They even let JJ and Reid help put some groceries in the trunk of the car. It was a successful trip only with one lady telling them their family was cute.
In the car ride back Emily turned around and asked, "What do you guys want to do after we put the groceries away?"
JJ asked in a quiet voice, "Can we go to the park?" Reid next to her was nodding his head yes.
"Alright I guess we're going to the park later today," Emily said as she turns back and looking at Hotch.
"You guys have to make sure we can see you guys and be careful. If you see something wrong come to Emily and I, Hotch said looking through the mirror as they made their way to the park after putting the groceries away. The kids just nodded and cheered.
They ran out and began climbing things. Emily and Hotch sat down on a bench and were talking about things while looking out for their kids.
One second it took of them not looking to hear Reid scream. They were quick on their feet and see Reid holding his arm and crying while JJ was trying to hug him to make him feel better.
JJ ran to Hotch once she saw them running towards them. He picked her right up and she hid her head on his neck. He rocked her side to side calming her down. She was shaken up from Reid's wails and cries.
Emily went straight to Reid and picked him up. They asked what happened and Reid fell from one of the park's platforms because he couldn't see. His glasses were suppose to come during the weekend.
They rushed him to the hospital. Emily was in the back calming Reid down and telling him that everything will be okay. She wiped away the tears and brushed his hair back.
"It hurts Em'ly it hurts a lot."
"I know blueberry I know. You'll be fine," she said in a smoothing but mommy voice. You could tell how frustrated Hotch and Emily were because they weren't focusing on the kids.
Arriving to the er, they quickly took Reid to get some x-rays. Emily, Hotch and JJ sat down and were quiet. Ten minutes later JJ broke the silence, "Is Reid going to be okay. I want him to be okay."
Both Hotch and Emily looked at her and she quickly moved to sit on Emily.
"He's going to be fine pumpkin. He is probably going to have a cast on his arm from breaking it and he is going to be in a little pain," Hotch said while Emily brushed her hair back.
"Mr and Mrs. Hotchner, Spencer is has a broken arm and he is going to need a cast. If you guys can come with me to see him. We gave him a little sedative to help him calm down," a nurse said coming to get them.
Emily and Hotch tried not to notice that she called them husband and wife and walked with JJ to go see Reid.
"Guys look I'm going to get a blue cast," he said excitedly.
"Look at you being a champ," Hotch said. Emily sat down on Reid's and he cuddled into her. The doctors came in and put the case on Reid and gave them a prescription to help with the pain for a little while.
They were settled in the car thinking about how long of a day they had. The kids had fell asleep during the car ride home.
"How about we order pizza tonight and have a movie night and watch as many movies they want," Emily signed looking at Hotch running her hands through her hair.
"You okay??, Hotch asked.
"I will be."
"Emily kids fall all the time. It okay if they get bumps or bruises."
Emily stared at Hotch, "You're going to be a great dad one day."
"You'll be a great mother too. You're helping and calming them down. A natural." Quietly, they thought about their futures and how they want each other.
They settled home and told the kids about their plans and they cheered. Pizza arrived and they went to the living room and began to watch some movies. One by one they all fell asleep and that's how they woke open in the morning next to each and cuddling with one another tangled in sheets.

I feel like I took a long time from posting, but I have some things going on. It won't stop from posting it just might take longer than usually. Hopefully you like this chapter. I kind of rushed it I think. Leave comments below and tell me what think.
