Chapter 13

No ones pov
"JJ come here you need to shower and get dressed," Emily shouted from the stairs. She heard small testing running up the stairs so she hid behind the door.
"BOOO!!!" she yelled making JJ giggle burst into laughter.
"That's funny mama, no scary. I no scared," she squeal as Emily picked her up to get her in the shower. 20 minutes later comes a clean and dry JJ, but a soaking wet Emily.
"Go downstairs to daddy and tell him to help you put on your shoes," Emily said handing JJ her pink socks. It felt weird for Emily to be called mom and to call Hotch dad. Sure she wants to become a mom, but not in this way. Of course she loves JJ and Reid dearly, but how would they feel if they remember calling them mom and dad. She quickly changed and walk downstairs seeing JJ without her socks and shoes.
"JJ if you don't put your socks or shoes on you aren't coming with me to the grocery store," she sighed rubbing her forehead.
"Hey are you good," Hotch said coming from the kitchen. She just deeply sighed.
"That bad," he bluntly stated looking at her.
"What?" she said looking at him.
"That's your tell."
"It is?" she said looking confused.
"Mmhm," he said nodding.
"For how long?" She asked.
"Uh every since I've known you," he said with a small smile.
Smiling a bit too, "oh well, you have on too.
"I do?" he said chuckling.
Making her chuckle a bit, "Yeah. Only I'm not gonna tell you what is, or you'll stop doing it."
"I see" he said bring her into a hug with a small kiss.
Pulling back he said, "Do you want to talk about it?"
Looking into her eyes and seeing some sadness in it.
"Absolutely, but not now," she said nodding her head.
"First thing later."
"It's a date."
"Can we get candy," JJ asked from the shopping cart.
"Fine pick on out for Spencer too," Emily said as she grabbed chocolates for herself and another candy for Hotch.
"When is the team comin,"JJ said as she tried to reach for a can of peaches.
"Tomorrow," Emily said moving JJ's arm away. She continued to grocery shop wondering what Hotch and Spencer were doing at home.
At home, Hotch was outside watering the plants as Reid tried to get wet from the hose.
"Reid stop trying to get wet. You already had a shower," Hotch told Reid trying to move the hose away, but Reid didn't listen and got a muddy. Hear his laughter, didn't make Hotch feel any better.
"Spencer," Hotch said raising his voice which made Reid look over.
Hotch didn't have the heart to yell at him, "Come on let's go take you a bath before the girls get back." On their way they heard the girls pulling in.
"Crap,"Hotch whispered under his breath.
"Look daddy, they're here. Come on let's go," Reid said running towards the front door. Emily walked holding some bags with JJ in front holding on. Quickly they both stop when they saw Reid running towards them covered in mud.
"Oh my god," Emily said looks shocked.
"Oh my god," Hotch said because he was caught with having a dirty Reid running.
"I wanna to be out like Spencie," said JJ dropping her bag and running towards the door to the backyard with Reid trailing her in the back.
"Uh let me get the groceries and you get the kids," Hotch said trying to get the easy part.
"Oh not so fast. You can go get the kids. I'll get the bags you can break some of the things," Emily said as she walked by him. He quickly gave her a kiss on the cheek and made his way to the back yard.
"Spencer and JJ, come on you guys need a shower and others need a second shower," Hotch said catching them and carrying them into the house while Emily was carrying the last bit of groceries.
"Hey I'm going to bring them to shower," Hotch said to the giggling kids in his arms.
"Alright," Emily said putting the groceries down. She then continue to put them away. After being here for a few weeks, she knew where things belong.
She heard the stomping of kids feet coming down the stairs with a loud pair coming down.
"Be careful coming down," she yelled as she got comfortable on the couch. Reid stop her first and quickly ran to her and sitting on her.
"Hi stinker," Emily said brushing his hair back.
"Hey I'm not stinker," Reid said closing his eyes.
"How was your day today just with daddy," she said laying on the couch as JJ and Hotch sat on the other couch.
"I got muddy!! It was very fun!! What are we going to eat," he asked opening his eyes a looking at Hotch.
"Do you want to order a pizza," he said looking at Emily. She just nodded back and asked Reid to get her phone. She order a large cheese which everyone was happy about. About 20 minutes later, the pizza arrived and Hotch got up to pay as the kids went to wash their hands. 30 minutes later the kids were watching tv while Hotch and Emily were cleaning the kitchen up.
"Hey I feel like we haven't had much time together today," Hotch said hugging Emily from behind as she finished washing the last few plates.
"Hi," she said turning around and burying her head where his neck met the shoulder.
"How are you," he whispered.
"Mm I want to sleep and who knew taking care of 3 year olds was exhausting. It so difficult with them calling us their parents you know. I'm not trying to be rude but this wasn't the way I want to be a mom or called mom you know, but so can't help love them so much. It's even better with you and your your...." She continued to rant and moving her arms and hands all over the place.
"Hey Emily Hey EMILY," Hotch said grabbing her arms.
"Yes," she said finally looking at him.
"This wasn't the way I wanted to be a father, but it's an amazing experience with you. I love those kids too even though they make us a little crazy. How about this, after tomorrow team BBQ, you and Penelope go out for a girls day. I'll stay home with the kids. You need a girls day," he said moving a piece of hair out of her eyes. She leaned up and gave him a kiss.
"You know you're pretty awesome. Who know Hotch at home was this sweet and amazing guy," she said chuckling a bit.
"I'm an amazing guy especially with this beautiful wonderful amazing woman I'm madly about," he said giving her a longer kiss.
"It's stressful, but we can manage to make it work. If you ever have a bad day, just tell me and that it. Plus we're a great time," he continued to talk about how great of a team they were until Emily just shut him up with another kiss.
"Come on superman. Let's get these crazy kids in bed and I want to have a wild ride with you later," she said winking at him and pulling him into the living room. Hotch shut up and smirk as Emily pulled him into the living room.
