Bella's POV
Thorin looked like he was deciding what to say next "I am presuming that sauron is waiting for us to provoke him before he attacks us, I am not sure if we should continue our quest in quite the way we had planned to" he declared

"What do you mean uncle" Fili asked looking serious, thorin said "i'm not quite sure yet, we will have to discuss this in a more organised manner, we will have a meeting later in the meeting room downstairs"

"Who's we?" I asked, I had already guessed that 'we' included me but I wanted to know who else, thorin then explained "we need everyone like I said earlier, legolas, send word to your father, the lady galadriel, lord elrond, and bella, your mother would be hugely beneficial to us. gandalf, send word to saruman and radagast, and someone get beorn, we need everyone we can get"

Legolas and gandalf nodded, "who was last in contact with beorn?" Kìli asked, there was a long pause before I broke the silence.

"Me actually, I bumped into him when I was journeying with legolas a few weeks ago, he invited me to stay with him for a couple of days because I was in need of rest, he is well and I'm sure he will be willing to defend you, well us." I said, thorin raised his eyebrows at me, "very well" he replied

Thorin began to walk out of the great hall with dain, as he was doing so, he announced "I will have word sent to beorn, everyone must be here by tomorrow for our meeting, we do not have a lot of time to spare"

I was sort of shellshocked by everything that had just happened. why on earth did he want me what was I to him? even if it was for a pet? Why was he so desperate for me?

I know I'm the last of my kind but why is my kind so precious to him. they are much more unusual things out there which a stranger and more precious than me I just don't understand.

And on top of all of that there was basically about to be a war against sauron, SAURON, all to protect me?!

but I fear for all of my friends and family I do not want a great battle but I know that it will inevitably happen whether I like it or not

As I was getting lost in my worried thoughts Kìli walked up to me and smiled comfortingly

"What are we going to do Kìli? Sauron needs to be killed but how can we manage that? Nothing can destroy him." I spoke nervously

Kìli placed a hand on my shoulder and said "do not worry my love, there is one way to kill sauron, you just don't know it", that really confused me

"What? How?" I asked, "you will find out bella" he responded. I nodded and he then said "well thorin and dain will be wanting me and fili to help organise things for the meeting tomorrow, so I'll see you later" he smiled and briefly placed a kiss to my cheek before walking away

"Goodbye" I said as calmly as I could as he walked away

To be honest I was still getting over the stress and shock of all of this, I needed some time alone, so I went outside, grabbed calista and began to tack her up ready to ride

Soon enough I was sat in calista and was trotting away "my lady!" Someone shouted, 'my lady?' I thought to myself, I turned around to see a dwarvish servant girl smiling at me
