Annabella~The elf-human warrior (Kili)

Chapter 10~dining with dwarves, what fun!

We were now in the great dining hall with a huge feast laid out in front of us, there was meat, a lot of meat, some salads, alcohol, a lot of alcohol, bread and all sorts

Thorin was at the head of the table, Fili and Kìli either side of him, I sat beside Kìli and legolas beside Fili , all of the others had sat where they wanted and bard had joined us for dinner

"Soooo bella?" Bofur asked, "yes?" I replied copying his tone, "you haven't yet joined in with any of our classic dwarfish drinking games" he cheerfully and excitedly announced

I saw Fili Kìli and thorin both place their faces in their hands, this should be interesting!

"More than happy to join in" I laughed, Fili laughed and said to Kìli "you've found yourself a good'n there Kìli, she eats, she's a bloody good fighter and she can drink, it's fabulous!", I could sense Fili was already slightly drunk as he was slurring his words and acting really quite silly.

"Right then, let me explain lass" bofur shouted, I nodded ok and he continued "well, we begin with ale, whoever can down down one glass the quickest is the winner", "ok, sounds simple enough, who's normally the winner of this one then?" I asked curiously

"Bombur" all of the dwarves shouted in unison, i giggled a little, "but aren't you forgetting, elves aren't as easily affected by alcohol" I smirked, "but aren't you forgetting, you're not full elf" said Kìli, I grinned and said "but legolas is"

I looked at legolas questioningly and he began "wait, what? Oh, nooooo, no way in durin's name, absolutely not, no no and still no I am not doing anymore drinking games after last time bella!", I knew I could convince him

"But pleeeeaaase leggy, you'll win for sure and it's something besides archery that you can beat kili in" I begged, he began to consider it "oh ok fine! But just this once!" We all cheered, "oh and bella" he said, "yes?" I asked, "don't call me leggy, you know I hate it" he said frustrated, I just giggled a little at how easy he was to annoy

"Right then everyone ready?!" Bofur shouted, we all had a large cup of ale in front of us and I was more than ready, "drink!!!!" Thorin shouted

I lifted my glass and had finished it within seconds, I slammed my cup down on the table, I had beaten all of the dwarves, but was disappointed to see legolas had beaten me too it

The dwarves all finished seconds later and looked wildly impressed be me and legolas, "holy shit" fili exclaimed in surprise and legolas and i just smirked, "yep" thorin said, I looked at him, he continued "definitely found yourself a good'n nephew!" As he patted kilis shoulder.

"What's next?" I asked bofur, "next, it's the double whiskey shot game!" He announced, Kìli looked very fed up, I could tell he didn't like this one

"basically each member is quizzed with a question about fighting or the mountain or experiences or anything, and the first to fail a question has to take the first shot of dwarfish whiskey, which is extremely alcoholic, and the reason why Kìli looks like a miserable puppy over there is because he always loses!" Bofur explained, I laughed and nodded

"Bring it on lads!" I shouted, all of the dwarves started asking each other questions, thorin asked me "bella, name every single person at this table" he clearly thought I'd struggle, but no I can learn things quickly.

I pointed to everyone at the table "bard thorin , Fili , legolas, Bombur, bifur, bofur, oin, gloin, ori, nori, dori, dwalin, balin, gandalf, bilbo , me, and Kìli" I listed

Thorin looked impressed, Fili then looked to Kìli, I knew he's ask him a difficult question "Kìli, when is my birthday?" Fili asked, I wasn't even sure at that point if Fili knew himself, he seemed very drunk by this point

Kìli complained "oh come on brother, we never celebrate birthdays!", he obviously didn't know either, "ummm the 24th of March?" Kìli guessed. Fili sat still expressionless, "hello?! Fili ? Did I get it right?" Kili asked, "oh ummm no" he said

Kìli sighed frustrated, he was handed the shot and he downed it, I laughed, he then looked to fili again "when is your birthday then?" Kìli asked, Fili laughed and said back "oh I can't remember, I just wanted to see you down it"

Kìli growled in annoyance "you bastard of a brother" he joked, all of the dwarves proceeded to laugh "oh and Kìli" thorin said "yes?" He replied, "I'm not sure, but I think that might actually be filis birthday" he laughed

"Anyway let's continue" Bombur shouted, everyone proceeded to ask each other questions and then it was eventually my turn, I was very nervous and wasn't sure what to expect as it was Kili asking the question

"Hmmm? What could I ask you..." Kìli thought, "how pretty you are on a scale of 1 to 10?!" Bombur teased, Kìli looked disgusted and shouted at Bombur "pretty?!"

I giggled and I knew I'd be teased for it but I said "don't worry, I would have said eleven anyway" I leant over and placed a gentle kiss to his cheek, he blushed and the others laughed

"Well, I shall ask... Ah yes! What is my mothers name?" He asked, very loudly and sounded slightly drunk, "I know! Dis!" I shouted very proud, "how in durin's name did you know that?" Fili asked surprised. "I have seen the family tree before you know" I said to fili.

We had been at the table for a good 2 hours and I could tell the alcohol had got to me a little by now, Kìli had sobered up a little now and he said "let me take you to your room", I nodded

I bid everyone goodnight and hugged Fili legolas and thorin before I followed Kìli out

He lead me through the great mountain corridors and to my chambers

He opened the door and walked in with me, "sleep well bella" he said soothingly, he didn't look exactly prepared for what I did next

I got lost in his beautiful brown eyes and placed my hand on the back of his neck, I pulled him close to me and placed my lips on his, he quickly kissed back running his hands through my long blonde hair

After a minute or two we separated and I said to him "goodnight Kìli", he walked to the door and said "goodnight gorgeous" before shutting the door

I got into bed and slowly drifted off

It's Friday yay! Hope you've all had a lovely week!

I should hopefully now be updating at least 2 or 3 times a week and always on a Friday because ya know Fridays are nice 🔮🔮
