Bellas POV
I felt butterflies after what Kìli said, there was a shimmer in my red gem? Oh my gosh, I couldn't believe it.

When earrings start to shimmer it means you are slowly developing that skill/feeling, meaning I've started to fall in love!

But even more so, I've started to fall in love with Kìli! How is that even possible? I met him yesterday, and I'm already falling in love with him?! I'm telling you there's just something about that boy...

"Are you alright?" Kili asked me snapping me out of my surprised thoughts, "um yes" I tried to casually say, it didn't really work

"Come on, I know we only met yesterday, but I know when you're not ok" kili smiled, "I just never thought my red gem would light up" I told him

"Really?" Kìli asked, "surely it has done before, you're far too beautiful to not have had someone fall in love with you before!" I felt my cheeks rapidly heat up

"Thankyou Kìli, but no, I've never been in love, in fact I've never even had a relationship before" I told him whilst still blushing, "well that does surprise me" Kìli responded

I was then curious to know about him, if he had ever been in love before, "what about you then, ever been in love yourself?" I asked, he smiled and shook his head shyly

"Well that does surprise me" I copied what he said before and he chuckled

It was getting dark and we had found an area to sleep, we all set down our blankets, gloin cooked a stew and we all ate before going to bed

***3 weeks later**
Filis POV
Gloin and I were chatting about things as we rode just behind thorin and dwalin who were leading "so, Kìli and bella seem to get on well" gloin cheekily said, I laughed and replied "indeed, I've never seen him act like this around anyone before, he undoubtedly had feelings for her", "well if anyone can get through to him and get him to admit if Fili, it's you, he trusts no one as much as he trusts you and I'm sure you'll be the first one he tells" gloin said, making me smile

I really did appreciate having kili as a brother, he's been the only person I've ever been able to talk to about anything personal, we had always been very close and I don't know what i would do without him

One thing I speak to him a lot about, is that I am the next heir to the throne after thorin , as I'm the oldest nephew, and I've always been worried that I'm not ready or the right sort of person to be a king, but Kìli has always supported me and told me I'm more than fit to be a great king

Kili and I have fought alongside eachother in many battles, he's saved my life and I've saved his countless times, I would not be able to bare ever losing him, I just don't know how i would live with myself

I couldn't keep him and bella off my mind, bella and I had already become really good friends and I'm sure we'd do nothing but grow even closer, and I know she and kili had feelings for eachother, you'd have to be blind not to see it

But I also knew that Kìli has always been hugely stubborn, and he's not gonna tell me straight away that he has feelings for bella, but I know I'll get it out of him

Kilis POV
Bella and I were chatting away and she was telling me about how she had grown up with legolas and how he is like her brother

I knew legolas, but not well, I'd like to get to know him if I can and I'm sure I could learn a lot from his fighting skills
