Annabella~The elf-human warrior (Kili)

Chapter 4~the day of the meeting

~~~~Thursday 18th~~~
I was awoken by the sweet sound of birds chirping I looked over to calista and realised she was safe, I quickly tacked her up and got myself ready for the ride

I want to make myself presentable for thorin and his company, I tied my hair into one long fishtail braid to the side with a few braids running through it separately

As usual I made sure I had all my weapons and I mounted calista as she lay down next to me and off I went

A few hours later and I had realised that I have not had any breakfast and I was growing extremely hungry I decided to go into the woodland areas to find some food for me and Calista

For Calista I grabbed a few herbs and some various plants that I knew she would enjoy ,my mother had once told me what horses liked that I could easily find in woodland areas

For myself I simply shot two rabbits and kept one of them and quickly ate it before I set off again. I kept The other rabbit in case the dwarves would be hungry which I knew they would be, after all, when would they not be!

I was now only 5 minutes away from the shire, I felt excitement grow within me, I knew I would be early for the meeting at this rate!

I soon reached the beautiful shire, stunning luscious green dewy grass covered the hills with crystal clear blue waters running through rivers and streams

All of the houses were small and almost embedded in the ground, I walked up a long lane with beautiful gardens each side of me, it was clear that the population was pretty much all hobbits, they gave me a few odd looks (can't say I blame them! I'm sure they don't see my kind very often at all!) but they returned smiles with me after I politely greeted them all as I walked past

I knew Annabella would reach the house soon, I called everyone to the table, we had all been here for about half an hour now, I called everyone to sit at the table as I was to say something to them

Soon enough we were all sat around the table, myself oin gloin bomber bofer bifer nori ori dori dwalin balin fili kili gandalf and bilbo, one seat was spare

'Uncle where should we leave Annabella a seat, would she feel most comfortable next to you as she knows you well?' Fili asked me, which was indeed a good question, I thought about it for a moment

I eventually decided 'leave a seat between you and kili, you are near her age and I think she and kili especially will have a lot in common'

They both nodded as they rearranged themselves so that there was a space in between them, I began to speak to them all

"Now, as most of you know, Annabella is half elf, half human, her mother is a powerful elven healer and her father was a strong and courageous man" I began to tell them

"Was?" Asked kili, I said back "about five years ago he was brutally killed by azogs white warg, Annabella and legolas, who you all know, brutally killed the beast, and so they should have. So I advise you all to be sensitive about the subject if it comes up please" they all nodded clearly understanding what I said

I continued "Annabella is a truly skilled warrior and will help us a great deal on the quest, as you know she is a distant cousin of mine, she is an archer like you kili" he nodded as he must have remembered when I told him before

"How old is Annabella?" Kili asked curiously, I could tell he was eager to find out more about her "she is eighteen kili" I answered, as expected fili teased him and said "don't get any ideas brother" as he elbowed him and winked at him

"Enough boys" I said after I finished laughing at filis teasing and kilis blushing, yet they still playfully argued and I had enough as i wanted to stay serious so I sent them to finish what they started between eachother in the living room

"Do you know when she will arrive Thorin?" bilbo asked politely, to which i responded, "she is a fast rider and should be here in no less than an hour, however she does not know that I am aware she is coming, I sent her the letter but she had no way of responding, she thought it was just dependant on whether the turned up to this meeting tonight or not, but when we saw legolas recently and I told him about the quest he told me he would make sure she came and he knew she would be keen" everyone nodded

We then heard a light knock on the door...
