Caroline POV
He hates me, doesn't he?
I mean, I just kissed him with no warning. I was just so happy I couldn't hold back.
My heart was pounding hard and fast. I haven't felt like this for ages.
But, at the same time, I felt heartbroken. I kissed him with no indication...and it was kinda like a confession.
And he walked away without giving me an answer....and he also pushed me away
"I guess that is a no," I say smiling bittersweetly
"What's a no?" Nancy asks as we snuggle in bed
"Oh nothing, go to bed," I say as she hugs me under the blankets. I hug her back as I hear her drift off to sleep
I kiss her forehand and close my eyes as I feel nervous for tomorrow...is he going to kick us out now that he doesn't need to watch over us?...no that's stupid, he'd never do that.
But we kissed.
He might just kick me out for that
I try to push the thoughts out of my head as I sleep, but they continued to loom over me.
I was restless throughout most of the night. And when I finally fell asleep, I woke up to what seemed to be only a few minutes later. It was morning now and the birds were chirping
I slowly got out of bed as I went to the kitchen to make breakfast
(Y/N) POV
I woke up to the smell of bacon in the air.
My stomach growls as I realize I didn't have dinner last night.
I slowly got up and started to walk to the kitchen when I remembered yesterday.
She kissed me.
My heart warmed up and skipped a beat as I sat up straight on my bed.
She started it...so does she like me in that way?
I seemed to have forgotten how to deal with this stuff. It seemed forever since me and my wife weren't together. I remember the day she confessed perfectly though. We were best friends back then
"(Y/N) come on! Follow me!" Natalie begged me
"Nat I'm still busy studying," I protest as people around tell us to be quiet. I guess she forgot we were in the library
"Come on, this is more important than studying," she says as I give her a look
"No joke," she says unsure as I look at her unconvinced
"I'll stay," I say as she pouts.
Eventually, the librarian came over
"Get out," she says to my surprise
"But I'm not doing anything," I protest as she gives me an evil look
"Fine," I mutter as Nat is all smiles
"Come on this way," she says before I could scold her for getting me kicked out.
She leads me to the roof of the school
"It's chilly up here," I complain as she rolls her eyes
