Jace
"They're coming for me." It's almost time. My every bone aches from it. And all I can do is think of how much I don't want it to happen again. I have no clue how long I've been here. Or how long this has gone on. Or how long I'll stay before they finally let me rest. Please just let me rest.
"Shh, I know, I know," Gia says, her warm, living hands on me as she holds me, "They'll take you again. One day you'll get out of here. One day we'll get out."
"You should leave," I whisper, holding here. There are others here. More listless than I. They try, but. It's getting to them. Of course the torture isn't the same for them. Just for me.
"We'll get out. All we need is a crack. A crack so you can reach up to the sky again, my love," she promises.
"I'll get you out of here," I can't stand her to stay. Perhaps I could stand this if I knew she were safe somewhere. It's like I would be okay if I knew that useless traitorous bitch were in fact dead or dying and not enjoying time up there in the sun. I get some pleasure knowing it has no abilities and is basically a very large somewhat verbal slug until it finally dies along with the rest of humanity. In a body it hates and can't change.
"You'll come with me. As you said they're coming for. Know when you come back I'll be here with you," Gia says, kissing me, "All right?"
"Not all right," somehow, I must find a way to get her out.
