Detective Stamos

"How many people did this dude kill in self -defense?" I ask, staring at the files on Hugh Leane. The dude has led an interesting life, to say the least.

"At current count, thirteen, but I'm still looking," Dara says.

"Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if he got himself murdered, Jesus---what he claims someone kept him as a slave  for an entire year, then he married them, then killed them in self defense again? Why did the cops keep believing this shit?" I mutter.

"His wife and children were murdered, it's a cold case," Dara says.

"Well that's different. Somebody else stabbed Stabby McStabby's family? Coincidence?"

"I think not," Dara says.

"Hey, there's a riot at the high-school all available bodies," Reynolds says, leaning in.

"There's a what now?"

"You heard me," she says, amused.

"I'll wait here," Dara says.

"You'd better," I say, grabbing my jacket.

That's how a half an hour later I'm in Winfell Highschool, shoving teenagers apart, shouting at them, and in general herding the guilty ones into the Principal's office.

"I told you to let me handle this," I say, grabbing Luna's arm. We all fucking know she started it.

"And I got a confession," she says, not at all ashamed.

"Confessions got through intimidation are not admissible in court," I growl, tugging her and Diana into the office.

"They are by my laws," she sneers, as I shove her in.

"What do you think you're doing?" Reynolds is shoving ice packs into kid's hands as she stops them from fighting. She's addressing Phoenix Riviera, a little problem child of ours. She's like an eighth cousin of his, and has had a soft spot for the tall, quiet boy, has ever since we had to bring him in for murder.

I'm well aware I'm not one to talk about emotionally adopting people we arrest. He's not actually a bad kid, just winds up in the wrong place at the wrong time a lot. I felt bad when we charged him for manslaughter, when he was mostly acting in his own defense. I know she tries to look out for the boy.

He's not a bad kid, very polite and sweet never gave us any problems at the time. Just cried a bit. He got dealt a bad hand with that mess. The boy he killed was from a rich family of course the lawyers took him and the public defender apart. He's stayed out of trouble mostly since he got out, which I'm pleased with. He ought to get out of this town.

"Who me?" he's holding a slightly smaller boy, Axel Neman. The Neman kid is a thorn in my side, he's like Thyme without any of those good decision making skills, just pure love of violence.

"Yeah, you, what are you doing getting your ass suspended?"

"So, I didn't actually hit anyone," Phoenix points out, smiling his winning grin. He'd be popular with the girls if he gave a shit about the girls, he's quite handsome these days with dark messy hair and a crooked smile. However he only seems to have eyes for the human train wreck he's currently stopping from punching us cops.

"When I showed up, you were standing in the middle of a circle of kids, shouting 'let me hit someone Ax' while he ran around you mowing people down saying 'don't you dare touch my boyfriend'," Reynolds says, tiredly. Oh so those two are officially dating I thought they were both gay wait a damn fucking minute. Rhea had better not have been talking about them? Two gay kids? I mean that describes many kids but---
