Hey guys. This is a one shot about Ruby just generally being a sarcastic legend while Hitch attempts not to kill her for being slightly stupid. That's pretty much it lol. I hope you like it xx

Ruby Redfort was sitting in the principals office of Twinford Junior High, scowling at the wall. So what if she had punched Bailey Roach? The insufferable snake deserved it. But that's not the way Mrs Drisco saw it. They had called in her parents and was waiting alone in the room for them to come in with the Principal but, to her surprise, it was Hitch who he walked in with. Hitch didn't speak, he just sat down next to her.
"Thank you so much for being here, Mr Redfort," said the Principal.
"Oh, I'm not her father," said Hitch. "I'm the Redfort's house manager. Mr and Mrs Redfort are extremely busy today and asked me to speak with you instead,"
Ruby knew that was a lie. The real truth being that Hitch had not told her parents about the call from the school and instead came to keep her sorry ass from getting grounded for life.
"Oh well thank you for coming Mr..." said the Principal. Hitch smiled.
"Hitch," he said, shaking his hand.
"Bless my soul," sighed the Principal, immediately recognising the name. "It must have been twenty odd years since you've been in this room then Hitch. Or should I say Mr Romero,"
Hitch grinned, remembering all the havoc he used to cause in his school days. He was in rolled in school with the name Hitchen Romero. Hitchen being one of his middle names and Romero being his mother's maiden name. He liked it a whole lot better than baring the name of his father.
"A very long time," said Hitch.
"You always were a little devil," said the Principal, recalling not so fond memories of fifteen year old Hitchen Romero and his crew. "Blowing things up and smashing windows and don't get me started on the incident with your french teacher,"
Hitch smiled wickedly, still taking pleasure in how much damage he caused in his youth.
"But we're here to talk about Ruby," continued the Principal, gesturing to the small girl.
"Yes," said Hitch. "So what exactly did she do?"
"Well, for starters her record of detentions is appalling. She hasn't gone a week the semester without at least one,"
"Mostly from Mrs Drisco I presume," said Hitch.
The principal nodded and hitch smiled.
"Yes well, she always was one to hate certain children. She hated me that's for sure," he said.
"She had very good reasons to dislike you Mr Romero," said the Principal, sighing. "You put pin tacks on her chair weekly, you showed up intoxicated, you always had a sarcastic comment to dish out. It's no wonder she wasn't your biggest fan,"
Hitch truly was a nightmare student at school. But the worst part was that there wasn't a single thing the teachers were meant to teach that he didn't already know. There was no winning with him.
"Back to Ruby," the Principal continued. "The reason we have called you here is on the rather serious subject that she has attacked another student,"
"Oh come on," said Ruby, rolling her eyes. "Attacked is a very strong word and think about it. He's a 6,5 soccer player and I'm barely 5,1 and I have no upper body strength. How was I meant to do any damage to him anyways?"
"That is not the point Miss Redford. The point is that you physically punched another student. Lacking in height or not you did attack him," he sighed.
"Why did you punch him?" Hitch asked.
"Because he's an incompetent idiotic chicken man who needs to stop being such a-" Hitch covered her mouth sensing the string of curse words about to erupt out of her mouth.
"It seems to me, sir," said Hitch. "that Ruby's actions, wrong or not, were provoked in some way by this boy. Now do with that information what you will but I think if Ruby admits her mistake you can let her slide with a Saturday detention,"
"Saturday?!" Said Ruby, glaring at Hitch.
"I think that's a great idea actually," said the Principal. "Now, you both may go,"

"I hate you," scowled Ruby in the car.
"Quit punching people," said Hitch.
"Said like it's not your job to kill people," said Ruby.
"It is my job to assassinate criminals not punch my school peers because they are 'chicken men'" Said Hitch smirking.
"Ok Mr Romero," growled Ruby. "Besides, you have no room to judge after what I just heard. You showed up to class intoxicated?!"
Hitch smirked.
"Once, and it was only because the previous nights drinks hadn't worn off yet,"
"And how old were you?" Asked Ruby.
"Fifteen I think," replied Hitch.
"Illegal!" Criticised Ruby. "You Heathen,"
Hitch laughed.
"Hey, life was boring in the 40's," said Hitch.
"You were at school in the 40's?" Gasped Ruby. "You're really old dude," she smirked.
"Hey," exclaimed Hitch in mock offence. "I'm not that old ya know."
"Anyway, so tell me," she questioned.
"Oh dear here it comes," sighed Hitch.
"What was 'the incident with your french teacher'?" Asked Ruby.
Hitch smiled mischievously as they pulled into Cederwood Drive.
"I'll tell you when you're older," said Hitch. "Now get inside and pretend like nothing happened so you don't get grounded again,"
"Fine," she sighed.

Hitch rolled his eyes and unlocked the front door, sighing in remembrance of his school days. What a time.

I hope you liked this chapter, I've always imagined Hitch being a nightmare at school. Also, please don't drink until you're old enough!!!! I am not promoting that. But things where different in the times these books were set ya know. But anyways, stay safe and Happy Easter xxx
