You said yes to me once, right?

Isla had heard that Bradley was alive from her sister, Loveday. She knew that he was staying with Hitch and the Redfort's. She knew what Spectrum was. She knew a lot of things she shouldn't know.

Ruby's pov:

LB, Hitch, Bradley and I were all sitting on the couch talking when there was a knock at the door. My parents were out and it was bingo night so Mrs Digby was also out. I got up to answer the door and saw a beautiful blonde woman with familiar eyes. A shade of dusty hazel which had the ability to charm yet terrify anyone who saw it.
"Hi," I said awkwardly.
"Hi," replied the woman in a thick, Australian accent. "I'm Byrdie's sister, I was told she was here?"
Byrdie? Where had I heard that before?
"LB?" added the woman, sensing my confusion.
"Oh of course," I said. "She's on the couch."
"Thank you," said the woman, entering. "I'm Isla by the way. You must be Ruby?"
"Yup that's me," I smiled.
Who knew LB had a sister?

LB's pov:

It was a shock to see Isla to say the least. I knew she was in town but I wasn't expecting to see her until later that day.
"Hi," she smiled with her perfect smile.
"Hey," I responded.
"So I came to talk dress details for tonight,"
Oh shit, I thought. I had completely forgotten what with Bradley and his memories and Casey Morgan. My mothers party.
"You forgot didn't you," sighed Isla, she could always read my mind.
"Little bit," I said awkwardly.
"Don't worry, you still have a dress at home that you never wore due to," she paused, looking over at Bradley who had stood up by now. "Circumstances."
"Isla..." I warned.
I knew which dress she was referring to but I couldn't bring myself to say it.
"I know it's not how you wanted to wear it but it's so beautiful and it took me weeks to make and you look so amazing in it..." she continued to ramble.
"Which dress is it?" Asked Bradley.
"My wedding dress," I sighed.

Bradley's pov:

That statement shocked me. Byrdie was engaged? But she could have a wedding? I was confused. I didn't like the idea of her getting married. In fact, I hated it. Just picturing it made my heart rate increase.

And then it hit me. I didn't dislike the idea of her getting married. I despised the idea of her marrying someone else...

Narrator's pov:

Soon, Ruby Redford, Isla Limpton, Byrdie, Hitchen Romero and Bradley Baker were at LB's house.

While Isla and LB went to find the dress, the others waited for her to emerge. And when she did, it was a spectacular moment.

LB strode as gracefully as always out of her bedroom in a crimson coloured dress.
(This is the idea. Not my photo it's from Pinterest)

While Hitch and Ruby smiled broadly, Bradley tried to simply continue breathing

While Hitch and Ruby smiled broadly, Bradley tried to simply continue breathing. He knew it all now. Who everyone was. Oh how he longed to hug Hitch as he always had done, his best friend, his brother. And there she was, as beautiful as when he left her. Time really had no way of reaching his impossible girl.

"You look beautiful," grinned Isla.
"I second that," added Ruby.
"Sorry I think there's something in my eye," said Hitch, trying to disguise the tear running off his nose. Everyone giggled at that, even LB.
"Oh you would have been the most beautiful bride," said Isla as she smiled.
"Yeah if I was actually allowed to wear this sucker to my wedding," said LB, smiling while rolling her eyes.
"Why don't you?" Said Bradley.
"Huh?" Asked LB, turning to face him.
"Well, you said yes to me once, right?"

And when I say I have never seen a butler, sister and a teenager excuse themselves from a room so quickly, I mean it.

"What?" LB stuttered as Bradley took her hand.
"I'm sorry it took me so long," he smiled.
She gasped, hardly able to believe it.
"So you... you..." she fumbled, speechless.
"I remember Byrdie," Bradley grinned.
LB gasped once more and smiled as tears swelled in her eyes. She shook her head in disbelief.
"You know me?" she asked.
"I know you Byrdie. I promise I know. I know everything about you, about me, about us," he said as he cried with her.
"Brad?" She asked, as if she hadn't seen him in years.
"Loveday," he replied.
She smiled and reached up to place her hand on his cheek. He put his hand over top of hers and smiled.
"I love you," he whispered.
And, with that, she pulled him closer and kissed him gently. And for once in the last 11 years, they were both home again... well, almost.

"Hitch?" Bradley called out.
"Yes my darling," replied Hitch sticking his head round the door.
"Get in here, we all know we're a trio not a duo," said Bradley and LB laughed and beckoned him over.
Hitch walked in slowly, followed by Ruby and Isla. His face portrayed no emotion until he was stood by them and he smiled like a child being reunited with his parents.
"I missed you guys," he grinned as he wrapped his arms around them both.

And, as for as many moments I have witnessed, only this one brings me total joy. A family brought back together. A trio made whole again.

It's fair to say that, when Bradley went, so did the others. But in that moment I saw them.

Bradley Baker: the wonder boy who believed when others didn't.
Loveday: the little Byrd who flew higher than all of the others
And Hitchen Romero: the boy who found a way into the hearts of many and cared deeply for all.

They were back!
