A searing pain shot through your head as you woke up and sat on your bed.
"Hangover?" Naya smiled softly from beside you. You turned to see her holding a glass of water and an aspirin.
"Thanks." You mumbled as you gulped them down. You stared off into random space. "What happened yesterday?" You asked, pinching the bridge of your nose.
"Seriously, Y/N, how much did you drink to forget such an important thing?" Naya asked, disbelief etched over her features.
"I remember drinking three bottles of wine but I lost count after that..." You groaned.
"Wow...okay..."
"Why? What happened last night?"
"You're in love."
"What?!"
"I know, I can't believe either..."
"Naya, stop saying such stupid things."
"It's not stupid, Y/N. You yourself admitted it last night."
"I was drunk, it doesn't count."
"There are two types of drunk people, the sillily fantasizing ones and the brutally honest ones. You fall under the second category."
"That's bullshit. Besides, who would I even fall in love with?"
"Kim Taehyung."
"You're crazy."
"So are you."
"This is not helping with my headache."
"It is the truth and you've gotta accept that."
"It is a stupendous lie, Naya, I should watch my alcohol intake..." You mumbled to yourself as you got up and went into the bathroom.
"Sure! Keep doing it, Y/N! Keep lying to yourself like that! Keep running away from how you feel! It's gonna get you to great heights!" You heard Naya's muffled voice from the other side of the door followed by the shutting of a door. You sighed as you assumed she left the room.
You stared at your reflection in the mirror as you leaned on the counter. Slowly, images of your talk with Naya from last night flashed in your mind, indicating she wasn't lying when she said you had confessed.
"It can't be... It won't be... It shouldn't be..." You reassured yourself. "Calm down, Y/N... You were drunk yesterday... You must've blabbed because of the alcohol..."
Naya's last words rang in your head again.
She knew you well. Too well.
You indeed were lying to yourself.
You indeed were running away from your feelings.
Wasn't that what you always did? Run away from the truth?
You just didn't know how to face reality. You had your own picture of how things should be and when the plan didn't follow yours, you ran away, refusing to believe reality.
You had decided.
This time, you were going to face the truth.
You were going to challenge your feelings.
You were going to stay true to yourself.
And, you needed help with that. Your mind was a puddle of confusion.
You did your morning routine before stepping out of the bathroom and texting the only person you could think of. The only person who could provide you a truthful judgement rather than forcing things upon you.
