You and Naya stared hard at your phones, as if the notification would change if you did. You slowly looked at eachother and the worry in Naya's eyes made you soften. She was always a bright person and seeing her upset like this was difficult for you.
"There's still JYP..." You said to her with a small smile as she nodded and looked down, her lips falling into a pout.
"JYP? What do you mean? What happened girls?" Jin asked. You just handed him your phone."With sincere apologies, we announce that the auditions have been cancelled. You need not appear at the premises at the fixed time. Thank you." Jin read the notification.
"What do they mean cancelled?" Namjoon burst out first.
"There has to be a reason!" Hoseok exclaimed.
"I thi-" Yoongi was cut off by the ringing of your phone.
"It's an unknown number." Jin said as he returned your phone to you.
"Hello?" You answered the phone.
"Good morning. Am I speaking to Miss Lee Y/N?" A gruff voice responded from the other side of the phone.
"Yes, that's me. How may I help you, sir?" You asked as everyone looked at you with confusion.
"Ah, I'm Kim Jungseok from BigHit entertainment." He announced and your eyes widened.
"BigHit?" You repeated, eyeing the boys. Namjoon motioned for you to put your phone on speaker and you did so.
"Yes Miss Lee. I take it that you had enrolled your name for the audition?" He asked.
"Yes sir. I did and I have received the news about it's cancellation." You stated.
"About that, Miss Lee, we have called you to inform you that you have been recruited by our team as a trainee."
Your heart stopped beating momentarily as you heard his words. You had zoned out. The boys and Naya urged you to respond on the phone but you were just too shocked to do so.
"Miss Lee? Can you hear me?" The man's voice brought you out of your trance.
"O-oh! Yes sir, I hear you." You spoke.
"Great. I know it is confusing at the moment but, we will explain everything. So, we expect you to come to our premises by four in the evening today. Do you think you could do that, Miss?" He said politely.
"Of course, sir. I will be there." You assured him.
"Good. See you soon, Lee Y/N." He hung up.
"Oh my God! That's just amazing, Y/N! I'm soooo happy for you!" Naya hugged your arm. You opened your mouth to say something when Naya's phone rang.
Same as you, she had been recruited too.
The both of you were a squealing mess at the moment as some of the boys looked at you proudly while some chuckled at your happiness. Naya broke down completely, sobbing into your chest. You rubbed her back in comfort, swallowing your own tears.
