Fun Facts + Author's Note

1. Creation of Lee Y/N:

I was just sick. Sick of the way the female leads in dramas and typical fanfictions are always portrayed to be cute, silly, clumsy, shy and sweet. So, I wanted to create a character who's badass---someone confident and proud; a tiny bit arrogant and hella cold. I wanted the female lead to be self sufficient and fearless. And thus, Lee Y/N was created.

2. Kim Taehyung:

Our TaeTae has such a handsome face and anyone would agree that he'd be perfect for the role of a cold and heartless CEO. And that's exactly why there are numerous fanfictions where Taehyung is given the role of a cold jock or a distant CEO or anything along the lines of that. I wanted Taehyung to be shown as the softie and romantic he is, and that's why, he's the sweet little winter bear in Trapped.

3. The mafia:

In my original plot, the mafia was not supposed to exist. The original story I had thought of consisted of only Tae and Y/N switching their souls and falling in love with themselves as well as each other in the process but, my chaotic mind decided to add in all the angst and Trapped was born.

4. Park Jimin:

Jimin was actually supposed to fall in love with Y/N. I originally had the idea of using the phrase "two pretty best friends do not exist".

The story was supposed to be like Jimin would fall for Y/N and Naya would fall for him and eventually get rejected by him. But, Y/N would fall for Tae and so, Jimin would get rejected. Jimin and Naya would blame themselves and their best friends because the latter had always gotten what they wanted because of their pretty faces. And so, Jimin would obtain solace with Naya as they'd share their pain together and he'd gradually fall in love with her.

5. Lisa:

Lisa was not supposed to be a part of this story and so weren't Ten and BamBam but, you know how my brain twists itself and boom! We've got our Thai bodyguards.

6. The big fight:

Y/N's dad was supposed to be actually dead. He wasn't supposed to come back to life miraculously. The actual ending I had planned for the story was that, Y/N would work with Jimin and make a pact between the Lees and the Parks and then hand over the Lees to the Kims. That way, mafia would be peaceful and at the same time, out of Y/N's life and she'd live a happy life with Tae.

7. Oh Sana:

Just like Lisa, Sana wasn't supposed to exist. But, I'm glad she does and she helped me prolong the story by a bit and also show you guys a jealous Y/N.

8. Park Jihoon:

Well, there was supposed to be a part where Taehyung would go and meet Jihoon after he had switched back with you. But, I got too caught up with the story that I forgot to add that little detail.

9. Kim Seokjin (or) Lee Hyunjin:

Jin wasn't supposed to be Y/N's lost brother, according to my original plan. But, oh well, things just happen, don't they?

I had actually planned for Eunwoo(Lee Dongmin) to be your long lost brother since his original last name coincides with yours. But, I had mentioned a threesome with him somewhere in the earlier chapters and I figured it'd be very weird if I made him your brother.

10. Byun Baekhyun:

My baby puppy wasn't supposed to get shot actually. He was supposed to kill himself for Y/N because the Parks would threaten him again in the future but then, I didn't want to do that to this beautiful soul. So, I think it's less painful that he died for Y/N because he'd rather die that way than die a painful death by suffering at the mercy of his diseases.

Author's note:

This has been a very long journey and its hard for me to think that I can't write this story anymore since it has ended and I have grown too attached to the characters.

You all might've noticed that the first few chapters(around 20-25) are written in a very plain and childish and cringy way. But, as I progressed with the story, my writing style changed greatly as well.

I could've edited the first few parts and made them look good but I didn't want to because it shows my growth as a writer and I wanted to keep it that way.

No, there's no smut in this book and I'm sorry to have disappointed you if you were expecting some. I believe I am too young to write smut and feel uncomfortable with doing it so I hope all of you understand that.

Yes, I've used numerous common tropes in this like soulmates, mafia, soul-switching, etc and I'd like to clarify that if you find anything familiar and feel like you've read it somewhere else, its merely a coincidence since the main themes consisting of this story are widely used in various fan fictions.

Any doubts regarding the story? Ask me and I'll clear them for you!

Also, I am aware of the many plotholes this book harbours and I kindly request you all to ignore them since I was quite young(15 yo) and immature when I wrote this.

I'm very thankful to those who stuck by me throughout the story. I know this isn't the best fan fiction you might've read but, the fact that you read it all the way to the end means a lot to me.
